I have arrived to Vancouver!!!!
so much has been going on in the last week starting with the 11 and a half hour road trip to Vancouver last monday. It was a good road trip we made excellent timing, same timing in fact that one would make in the summer driving to the coast...yay Dan! along the way I took a few pictures with our little green friend in it ( this friend was made out of plastic parts from the inside of a kinder surprise egg). This green monster was like our gnome for the trip.
Me and Thana and Aaron went to the US the other day, Bellingham and mount vernon to be exact. It was a lot of fun, we hit up 2 hottoppics...yesss. In Bellingham is felt like we went back in time, all the ppl had such an early 90's style. There was this lady with huge bangs that were teased to the side, the whole scene was a bit odd, not that I think everyone should always keep up with fashion trends but it was all this one type of 90's style.
In Vancouver I have been working on getting my room set up all week, I love it. I'll post some pics of it up, I feel very comfortable in it which is an important quality in a room I think. I'm starting to get used to all of the creepy night sounds that houses make which is a good thing.
I had my first day of school yesterday which went good. To get there i park at a sky train station then take the train and then downtown I take a bus to Granville island, then walk to school from there, it's about an hour to get there, lot's of exercise though. I met a few people and exchanged numbers so we could hang sometime. all the people i met were pretty nice not snobby like everyone warned me of...knock on wood. My classes seem more technical then ACAD which I'm excited about and they really support the idea of making movies which is really refreshing.
I've seen all sorts of different people since I have been here like a man screaming out random arguments to himself and lot''s of crackheads wiggen out and the other day I saw a man walking across the road with a wooden peg for a leg...note to self don't bitch about my sore back I could have it worse. This city has an interesting buzz about it, I am looking forward to exploring it more. Tonight we are going downtown to the Vancouver art gallery and seeing the Picasso exhibit...yay.
