The fall of Geto; end of Hidden Inventory arc and a return to the present

This is post about my feelings, my raw emotions, and my tears that came from episodes 4-5 of Season 2.

After watching the JJK 0 movie, I knew the friendship between Geto and Gojo ended because of Geto's descent to madness and murder. I was prepared for that! I knew it was coming! But I was NOT prepared for Mappa to direct the last episode so beautifully. From the sound mixing, story boarding, and sound track, Episode 5 was a beautiful and tragic ride.

Episode 4 was action packed and emotionally heavy. I screamed when Gojo reached enlightnment and LEVELED UP before the fight with Toji. About that fight? I had to pick my jaw up at the ending. I didn't read the manga yet so I didn't know what was coming but, yeh, I didn't expect that ending.

Throughout the death, chaos, fighting, and curses, the true center of this arc is Geto and his choices that lead him on the path to darkness.
Think Anakin becoming Darth Vader and WHY he chose that path (minus: the Sith whispering in his ear). The source material must be amazing and I can't wait to get to that point in the manga, but for the anime, the dialogue and direction, in these 2 episodes, was done with such attention to detail that the fall felt heavy and sad.

I empathesize with Geto, I have since the beginning of this season. I despised him in Season 1 - but knowing what I know now, I think we're supposed to. The JJK 0 movie, I didn't like Geto but now watching Season 2, it makes his choices in the movie and the ending of that film, that much sadder.

Anyways, as I wipe my eyes, and look forward to the show I have fallen in love with, I am bracing myself for even more drama, intensity, and sadness. Apparently, JJK is not one to hold back and given the themes and premise of the story, I wouldn't want it to.

I enjoyed highschool!Gojo and his arrogance but after these events, experiences, deaths, and all, I really want to hold adult! Gojo and help him, get him therapy because WOW...yeh man is in his late 20s carrying that weight :'(.

The tears really started at this moment. Gojo waking up, with tears in his eyes, after a nap surrounded by his 3 three (BEST KIDS) students.
