It's a good thing you're not looking for an answer cause we both know I don't have one! LOL
Although... (and please forgive me for being long-winded)
We've talked about you being so quiet at meetings before and why you're so conscious of what you say and how others perceive you and who you DON'T want to sound like, but I didn't realize that there was more to it than that so I'm glad you mentioned that aspect of it.
I promise you that none of what I am about to say is in any way intended as advice or anything along those lines. I just wanted to share my POV with you.
I, for one, value your input and opinions and *especially* your struggles because it lets the rest of us know that you're human too. You're not the "Little Miss Perfect" that people tend to see and can't relate to (the way a certain someone likes to portray herself, which is why we find her so annoying). I think it would help others immensely - including me - to get a taste of what being lifetime is all about and the fact that there's struggles there too. I learn so much from you, you have no idea. You're our little glimpse of what's to come, if you will. It's NOT a cake walk, it's hard, and a lot of people need to realize that! Believe me, you're not the only one who thought you'd achieve lifetime and POOF! It's all fun and games from here on out. And if nothing else the other few lifetimers could take a lesson from YOU on being humble! You could be the lifetimer that people WANT to hear from rather than the one people want to punch out! LOL
Just like we admire Karen so much for being so real and relatable and having faults just like the rest of us, I personally admire you the same way for that very same reason. Not to mention the fact that the times when you're struggling are the times YOU probably need the group's help the most. I know you care about what they think of you and what their perception of you is but at some point you have to draw the line and do it for you - use the group as a tool for your success just as much as they use you as a tool for their success. It's a two way street. Just like I experienced last week, you NEVER know when something you say is going to hit home with someone else and be exactly what they needed to hear or make them realize that they're not alone. Besides, call me biased but I miss your vocal presence. ;)
I promise you, none of this is intended as advice or anything along those lines. I just thought it might be worth sharing a different POV - *MY* POV. Maybe that would make you feel a bit better about it or view it in a different way...kinda help you sort through it. Maybe an angle you didn't consider or realize before... Either way you can slap me for it tomorrow if you want ;)
