You know your mindset has changed when you are excited that your new SHAPE magazine has come in the mail!
Today, I actually said to myself "Oh goodie!!" when I saw the magazine in the mail & have been devouring it ever since...and what is truly sick is that I am looking forward to their newest workout program that will burn 320 calories...not sure what it is yet, but I am excited about it.
WHAT??
When have I EVER been excited about a workout plan? It is just really surprising when all of a sudden you catch yourself thinking & saying things like this and wonder when the mental shift happened. Never would I have thought I would enjoy working out in the mornings...or love the slightly sore ache after running...or actively pursue new routines & run hills...heck, even run at ALL! But one day out of the blue it happened...sometimes I don't exactly love working out...yes, I AM human...but for the most part I do really prefer when I am at the top of my game and know that I did all I could do!
Other than that...not too much else going on in my world...busy as ever at work...taxes were due today, so life from 8-4:30 has been a slight bit insane, but what can you do? Answer the calls, help the customers, do all you can do & go home happy!
Dennis is wanting to build a shed in the backyard, so we are looking at plans & materials for that...he is excited to get the egg shaped herb garden outta there...and I just want him to be happy & have a place to store things so that he can actually make use of our garage! It is a danger zone out there...climbing over this & that...it will be much better when the shed is done & he has room to breathe!
Let's see...what else? Oh, Yeah!!! The annual Scavenger hunt at Rissa's is coming up...looking forward to that...a slight bit relieved that we don't have to deal with a bunch of 21 year old boys for Nate's possible birthday camping/riding weekend in Coos bay...I would have loved going camping, just the 4 of us, but then throw in Nate and all Nate's friends..not my cup of tea...I have done the frat parties, I have done the drinking & puking thing...got the tee shirt, thanks! So to possibly have to face this scene again was a little "eye rolling" for me...but the husbands were so excited about it...so Rissa & I said we would go along. Ah well...that is part of married life...it isn't all about what we want to do, sometimes we do need to indulge the husband's :) Turns out we aren't doing the Coos bay thing, so that's fine with me...I might ask my grandma if we can use her home up at Diamond Point for a weekend & have the 4 of us go up there...that way the boys can still do the riding thing and Rissa & I can maybe do a Volkswalk in Sequim, or walk the Dungeness Spit, maybe go to the Casino up there, or just have a fire by the beach & roast hot dogs & marshmallows! I love it up there...so calming :) Much more calming than the thought of hanging around a bunch of testosteronie 21 year olds who have been drinking!
Anyways...just rambling on now...not much else going on...Dennis is stuck up on Orcas Island, so I actually had more than a moment free to check email today! Wow :) I better go...my mind keeps drifting back to my SHAPE magazine...boy, I really am sick :)
