Finding Spike, Angelus and Vamp Cordy? from beautiesnbeasts
Everything came crumbling down as Willy finally told me what he knew.
Spike was with me the whole night. We shared more than a few kicks and punches, but he was actually helping me. We went to Cordelia's house and found Xander unconscious. Cordy was kidnapped by Angelus. This was serious business and we had to find them.
We looked all over the place, and we followed Spike, who could smell Angelus' scent. Then, we came to an abandoned house and Angelus' scent ended there. Spike and I got into another fight, but this time he took off. Xander and I were left to find Angelus on our own. It was like Spike to up and leave. I guess he couldn't stand getting beat up by a girl.
Xander lost all hope. We were wasting time, and Spike was our key to finding Angelus. Xander just wanted to get Cordy back and hoped that she was alive. It was also my wish. I had to assure Xander that we will find out where they were and we'll get Cordy back.
I suggested going to Willy's. He was the biggest snitch in Sunnydale. Willy also knew everything that went on. I knew he had to have some information on Angelus. Xander was a bit hesitant, because we were wasting enough time, but this was our only chance to find out where Angelus was. Angelus would lead us to Cordelia.
We went into Willy's and I pumped him hard for information. He didn't spill until I held him in the air and dropped him on the bar.
Yeah, vamp in here earlier said that he saw what appeared to be Angelus, earlier, in a clothing store. Not only Angelus, but Spike was there too. The same vamp said..said that Spike had been helping you earlier, and he got away..something about him being afraid of Angelus and especially Spike. They...they were not alone in the clothes store...There was a brunette with them, another vampire...You should check it out, slayer."
My grip on Willy loosened as he told us what he knew. My eyes widened a bit when he mentioned a brunette with Angelus. He said she was a vampire. The only brunette he would be with, was Cordy. I looked over at Xander and I could see the anger coming out in waves. He walked over to Willy and punched him dead in the face. Willy's nose began to bleed and Xander stormed out. I got a napkin and gave it to Willy.
"Willy, are you sure there was a brunette with them?" He nodded, yes. "What was the name of the store?" He struggled to think of the name. He was in obvious pain, but he gave me the name. "I-It was April Fools."
"Thanks, Willy." I ran out of the bar to catch up with Xander. He was already half way up the street. Luckily, he was going in the direction I had to go. "Xander!", I yelled. Xander ignored me and kept walking. He was walking hard and fast. So, I decided to run faster.
I knew he would be bent out of shape with the news that Cordelia was alive, but she was a vampire. I was in shock about the whole deal. Why he would turn Cordelia was beyond me. Did he do it to piss me off? It was definitely working. Not only did he kill a friend, he turned her. She probably suffered before he turned her. There's no telling what Angelus did to Cordelia. Did he know I would eventually go to Willy and ask him? Angelus knew I would find out. And, I think he wanted me to know.
Spike's involvement was weird. He might have went there to kill them. He did leave us pissed off. Whatever the reason, I had to get to April Fools.
I caught up with Xander. "Will you wait, please?" He turned and I could see the anger, mixed with sadness in his face. "I'm sorry." I didn't know what else to say. "I'm just sorry. We were too late. That was my fault." He glared at me. "We can't have them going around Sunnydale killing people. I'm going to have to kill them. Cordelia is a different being now. She doesn't have a soul. She's not the same as she was. If we see them, don't let her fool you." I had to warn him, in case he ever saw her. I knew it was hard on him. This whole situation was hard on me, as well. I just had to deal with it, more differently.
"Willy said they were at April Fools. I'm going there now. You can come with, if you want."
