Five terrific femslash rare pair fics
1. The Heart Stone, by carlyinrome, (Kendra/OFC) is a tale of a budding romance between Kendra and an unforgettable OFC. It's short but manages to pack in heart-thumping action, humor, and all the feels in the world.
2. Diminished Capacity by aaronlisa (Cordelia/Illyria, FR13). Once they were gods. Cordelia and Illyria, against the backdrop of an apocalypse.
This one really nailed the alien nature of Illyria, and I loved Cordelia's attempts at understanding while the world is falling apart.
3. The One with the Snowstorm in July by brutti-ma-buoni (Cordelia/Willow, PG) is another Cordelia POV fic with a completely different tone. It's light and fun high-school era Cordelia voice, with some delightfully ominous Cordy-thoughts.
4. one perfect moment by kwritten (Buffy/Anya, General Audiences). AU Buffy/Anya from Season 3 to Season 6, with some recognizable canon events and some major divergences. The verbal sparring between the two is great, and the ending is killer.
5. she's the scary one, also by kwritten (Jenny Calendar/Nikki Wood, Teen and Up). Super-fun AU where Jenny traveled back in time and became Nikki's partner, in both senses of the word. I loved Jenny's adaptations to pre-internet technology, the demons Nikki runs into, and the family moments with Robin.
