Five Favourite Things from 2012
Thought I'd better get this in quick before the comm closes. Again, no unifying theme, just five Buffyverse things I enjoyed in 2012.
Redemption - Scattered Thoughts by beer_good_foamy. Meta that I don't think has been recced yet, but even if it has, can't be recced often enough IMO (which also applies to BGF's masterful Buffy, the Vampire Slayer vs Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
sb_fag_ends. I know I'm a mod there, so possibly biased, but I do think it's one of the best fic comms in the Buffyverse fandom. For one thing, brutti_ma_buoni is a regular poster.
Penguin Spuffy fics, of which This One, again by beer_good_foamy, is a perfect example (and possibly the only example from 2012).
Fluid Dynamics, by quinara, a poem, Buffy's POV on season 6. Beautiful, and original. What more do you need?
And finally, another superb take on season 6, from the autumn round of seasonal_spuffy, Carefree by thisficklemob, R, for violence and angst.
