We had a nice time visiting Casey's dad and his wife at their house tonight. As nice a time as you can have with an ex, LOL. But really, they were great hosts. We had yummy wings cooked on the grill, veggies we'd never tried before (we do not eat healthy enough) and fries. We met their adorable pets, our favorite being the beautiful, sweet Bella who took the french fry her momma gave her and buried it in the backyard, LOL. And then had fun chasing the light from a laser pointer. She was a trip. We both wanted to take her home. Casey wanted to trade her for Willow, but I couldn't possibly. Willow is my baby!
To add to the 4 new Wii games we got for Christmas, they gave Casey DDR and a horse game. More games to play, wee! She's actually downstairs playing DDR right now. Her dad also had a Native American flute made especially for her with her name on it. It's perfect since it's part of her heritage and she plays flute in the school band. It came with a book teaching how to play it, and she was already working on it in the car on the way home. We both got some other things too. They were very generous. We gave Jae a Christmas bracelet and pin Casey had picked out, and we had already given Bing (for his birthday and Christmas) a Disney snowglobe and cookbook.
Seriously, I hope Casey's dad knows how lucky he is to have a wife like Jae. She's so great. We both adore her.
