I finally finished season 2 of Dexter. It was fabulous, and I'm psyched that S3 comes out soon and that my dad is going to tape it for me since I don't have that channel.

I also finished reading Size 14 Is Not Fat Either. I liked it, which was not a surprise because it was a sequel to a book I also enjoyed. They are fun crime novels.

We had a great time at my parents' house Saturday evening. My brother was there, which I hadn't expected (he does live there, except not really. He spends most of his time at his bf's place). My mom made a delicious turkey dinner, and we all had a lot of fun playing with their Wii. Now that I've tried Wii Fit, I really want my own. Not only is it totally fun, it's such a great weight loss tool. It weighs you and you can make goals, and it leads you through exercises to help you meet it, and it even tells you how your posture is! I tried a yoga pose, and it knew that one leg was easier than the other (it said it noticed my hip was tighter on one side. Woah.) I have a feeling my mom is already planning to get it for me for Christmas. That's a long time to have to wait, but there's no way I can buy that myself.

They also have a new game called Big Brain Academy that's really fun. I want to play it some more. They are heading to New York soon for a week and I have to go over there every day to take care of their bird. Great opportunity to take over their Wii while I'm there! We have our own, but not those particular games. So yay.

We didn't get out of there until 9 PM. 12 hours later, we met up with them for church and then breakfast at Dennys. And then my mom took Casey clothes shopping (she had outgrown most of her jeans) and I headed off to Walmart for groceries. While I was there, I used the American Express gift card Christine had given me for my birthday and got myself a pair of pants for work. They are loose fitting with an elastic waste, so they kind of feel like pajama bottoms. But they still look nice enough for work. They're black with white dotted stripes. I love them. They were only $13, which was all I had left on the gift card (it was for $25, but I'd been using it here and there as a backup when I was out of money and needed something). I got home at the same time my mom was dropping Casey off.

I'm pleased with how much I got accomplished Sunday. Not only did I finish all the laundry (can't remember the last time I managed that in one weekend), I managed to do everything on the to do list I made on Friday (not that I don't still have other lists with things that need doing... but these were things I specifically wanted to finish this weekend).

-Balance checkbook and pay bills

-Renew Norton anti-virus and run it (my CD drive is still not working though... might have Best Buy come fix it and also get Casey's laptop online)

-Choose recipes for the week and list needed ingredients on grocery list (I did this, but didn't have enough money to get those ingredients. I'm hoping for a child support check to show up in the next couple of days so I can go get that stuff and make those dinners. In the meantime I did get ingredients for spaghetti, which I made last night, and we've got plenty of other stuff like hot dogs, salad, etc)

-Get groceries

-Trim bushes in front of house

-Take care of violation issues (So yeah, I got a violation letter from my association because my gutter needs to be cleaned out and there's a spot of mildew on the side of the house. Both of these things require the use of a ladder larger than mine, so I actually need to wait until my mom can bring hers over. So all I did yesterday was look to see what they were talking about and then realize my ladder was too short)

-Rinse A/C vent (it's re-usable)

-Give Willow a bath

Among other things like dishes, trash, etc.

Maybe this weekend I'll actually clean the house.
