(no subject)
-Last night Casey and I volunteered at Give Kids The World. We were supposed to do the usual holiday parade (they have Christmas every Thursday), but for some reason it was canceled. So instead we just went out and mingled with the families. I was dressed as Mother Christmas in a long green dress and a (hot) red and white cloak. Casey usually wears the snowman costume, but it was out being repaired so she was a Christmas tree. The costume was similar to this, except without the nifty shoes. I definitely would have taken a picture, except I knew if I tried she'd have a fit. She didn't like having her face exposed. She prefers the full costume with the head and all because she feels less vulnerable and is more comfortable being animated, and not having to think of things to say to the kids. I get that. Neither of us is so good with the mingling, small talk thing, so it was a tad awkward, but we did okay. There were probably half as many people out (possibly due to the lack of parade) and twice as many characters, so instead of the usual bombardment of children wanting pictures with snowy, we usually had to approach them. Plus, they definitely seem more drawn to the characters in the full (head and all) costumes. I guess they seem more real or something. But still, it was nice. She wants to go back next week if the parade is back by then. We'll see.
-So then we went home and watched Big Brother. YAY Dan!!! How amazing is he? Aside from the fact that he seems to only own 2 shirts (seriously Dan, change.), I love him. Now that he's stopped throwing competitions he's winning them left and right. He definitely deserves to win the game. I'm sure Dan will put up Jerry and Keesha and Memphis will send Jerry home. I pray that veto doesn't screw that plan up. He just really needs to go. And then I'm thinking Dan has a good chance at the final two, because most of the jury hates him so Memphis and Keesha probably both think they can win if he's with them. I'm hoping that the jury will not vote on how they personally feel and instead will realize what a great player he is. But, I don't know. There are some petty whiny bitches in that jury house, Ollie included. They can seriously fuck off and stop bitching about Dan, who is a better person than all of them put together (not counting Renny. She's awesome and needs her own spin off show). But they might just hate Keesha more than Dan, so if she's with him he might have a chance.
-I had a research clinic appointment this morning. I've gained 3 pounds this past month. Oops. Hey, there was a birthday, a trip and a holiday all in that time frame. Not to mention working so much that I'm too tired and busy to exercise or pay much attention to what I'm eating. Hopefully now that that issue is going away, it will get easier. They said it was fine, that anything less than 5 pounds is maintenance. Um, okay. If you say so.
-Wow, they're coming out of the woodwork over at MySpace. Since that very charming email I got the other day, I've also gotten these:
1. i looked at your page and loved it we shoudl talk my name is carlos and i would,love to get to konw you call me (First of all, Carlos - if you're too lazy to use the shift key, I'm not interested. Second, when your profile pic is of your car, it makes you look lame. 3rd, it's dumb to put your phone number in an email to a stranger)
2. Beauty is all about angels....charming is all about queens and lovely is all about goddess... u beautiful, angelic and like a goddess... mind having you as a friend? (ok, he's a little odd, but not THAT bad, so I went ahead and added him)
3. I gues you might have bee used to the phrase you hear from people say 'YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL' to tell you the fact they are not bluffing sincerely speaking i guess they are just tellling you that simple fact that is not disputable.....starting from those lovely and little eyeball of yours they shine so bright like the moon in the night,you pretty face alone wins you the heart of anyman that you so desire they are very catching just lie the radiant lit of the sun....you are wonderfully made to me you are incomparable...what more do i need if not just a blessing coming out of those lips of yours cos with no doubt you are an angel...

-Weekend plans - I was supposed to go to Lydiana's bachelorette party tonight, but it turns out I had the date wrong all this time and it's tomorrow. Not sure why I thought it was tonight... I even had it that way on my calendar. Well, it doesn't even start until 9 tomorrow night and I have to be at work on Sunday at 7, so I'm going to pass. So tonight I'm going to go home, make spaghetti for dinner and chill. Tomorrow I plan to sleep in, then take Casey to gymnastics at noon and then work on laundry and bill paying until time to go to work from 2-8. Before I go in I'm going to stop at HR and try to get that green sheet for Ripley's Believe It Or Not. If I can manage that, we'll go Sunday. I work that day from 7-11 and then Casey is altar serving at 5 PM mass, so that leaves enough time in between. And of course we'll be going out to eat with my parents after church. I'm so excited that this is the last weekend I have to work! I'm getting my days off back. WOOT!
