(no subject)
Casey was up until 11:30 last night doing homework. That's not because she had a ton, it's because she flaked. When she gets home from school every afternoon, she is supposed to do all of her homework and then practice her flute. Once she's finished those things, she's free to do whatever. Usually that's VMK. So I got home from work yesterday and she's playing VMK and, as usual, I ask if her homework is done. She says she didn't have any. I ask if she practiced her flute, she says yeah. She plays VMK all evening (except when she went to Girl Scouts, but she got right back to it as soon as she got home) until 10, at which point I tell her it's time to take a shower and go to bed. So then she's like Oh, I forgot about this homework assignment and this extra flute exercise I was supposed to do. GR. I told her if she pulls that crap again, VMK is going away for a while. Her neck nearly snapped, she turned her head so fast and looked at me like "WHAT?" Yeah, that is going to be some good ammo.
So, Bones. I thought it was a really cute Christmassy episode, but I was disappointed about the kiss for two reasons:
1. The circumstances that brought it on were pretty dumb and contrived. I mean come on, why would the FBI lady just randomly decide she wants to make them kiss? The writers could have been a lot more creatve than that.
2. It was kind of a lame kiss. I mean yeah, they got a little carried away and took it past 5 steamboats, but it wasn't really passionate at all. There wasn't even any tongue. I wanted to see them really get lost in that kiss and then get embarrassed about it afterwards. They acted like that's what happened, but it's not what I saw.
Also? How freaking lucky is Emily D. to get to kiss David B? And I'm sure there were a few takes. SIGH. I'd be like "That didn't feel right to me. Let's try it again." Heh.
Tomorrow should be a pretty cool day. We have dentist appointments, which in itself does not make the day cool (yeck, but at least they are just check ups). But the appointment isn't until 10:30, so we get to sleep in. Woo. And then after we're done there, I'm going to drop her off at school and then I'm free for an hour or two. I'm not going in to work because my department is going to be decorating a villa a Give Kids The World at 2. So with the dental appointments, I would barely be in the office, so there's no point. So after I leave Casey at school, I'll have a little free time before meeting them there, decorating for a couple of hours, and probably getting home earlier than usual. Yey.
