My sort of boss, Ken, gave me a Christmas gift today - a CD of holiday music and some hershey's kisses. Kewl.
In gymnastics practice yesterday, Casey got 2 pretty nasty rips on her hand. She says she got them doing pull ups, which is weird. She gets them an awful lot. Such is the life of a gymnast, I suppose. She's got her hand wrapped up today. Luckily it's not the one she writes with.
She requested KFC for dinner last night, so I got it for her, and was rather proud that I didn't get anything for myself there, and instead went home and ate a lean cuisine meal. I also told her I wanted both of us to cut back on the fast food. We have a ton of stuff in the freezer, but she's so picky about food we eat at home. She turns her nose up at leftovers. I guess it's my fault, I've gotten her to used to eating out. So we really need to start eating what we have. I also took Willow for a walk last night, thought not a very long one. My cold is still lingering, and my cough started coming back after 10 minutes or so, so we went home. Still, that's better than what we've been doing lately, which is pretty much nothing. We'll walk some more tonight. I really want to lose the weight I gained over Thanskgiving break (and hopefully more) before my research clinic appointment next Thursday.
We had some fun with math last night. Except not so much with the fun. She had trouble with one particular problem, and when I tried to explain it to her, she kept whining about how math hurts her brain and she didn't geetttt ittttt. She wouldn't even listen because she was too busy complaining. Erg. I know math can be frustrating, and it's also hard when I don't remember half of the stuff she's learning now. Bleh. Oh well. She got it eventually.
Lane from Gilmore Girls played a nun on Private Practice last week (watched it last night). Woo. Oh, and also... the girl who plays Danielle on Desperate Housewives played a girl who had just had a baby. What a stretch from her current role, LOL.
