My cousin Carlisa came to town yesterday to take a friend to Horror Nights. I stopped at CityWalk after work to get her some discounted tix and leave them there for her. She wanted me to come along, but A) it's a weeknight, and more importantly B) I'm way too much of a wuss.

Does anyone know of a place that sells furniture for really cheap? I could really use some rolling dining room chairs. We have two, which we use for eating and also at the computer. They are both totally falling apart. I'm kind of worried that one is just going to break one day and someone might get hurt. I bought them with Josh when we moved in together 10 years ago, so yeah. They are done.

The Office, Scrubs and Greys were all okay last night, but nothing spectacular. Here are my comments:

The Office:

They took Michael too far again. I don't like when he makes me cringe.

They could have done so much more with that mannequin. I was kind of disappointed by it. Maybe it will be back.

Jim in Madge's warehouse uniform and a mustach FTW.

Phylis was going to cook her popcorn for like 5,000,000 seconds. And she didn't want it to smell like popcorn. LOL

Scrubs: Lots of cute little babies. Kim cracked me up with her facial contortions and yelling during labor. Oh, and also? LAVERNE. I read about that actress coming back and how they were going to explain it, but I don't know if people want to be spoiled, so I'll zip it.

Anyway, I really haven't been feeling this season yet..

Greys:

"Did you only shave one leg?" "I'm soooooorrrry!"

"Please tell me you don't live with Meredith Grey". I SO didn't see Lexie and Alex coming.

"Are you two a couple?"

"'Pretty' and 'Prettier'". I think I like that better than McDreamy and McSteamy. Speaking of which, I'm really enjoying Mark and Derek together.

And oh, of course, Roy from The Office appearing on Greys as a skydiver who managed to fall 12,000 feet and survive. I wonder if he's ever going to be back on The Office?

I was amused by Cristina fake doing the heart surgery from the observation deck.

It must be so awkward for TR Knight and Katherine Heigl to do love scenes together, considering that they are best friends. And he's gay.

I'm pretty annoyed with Meredith. I mean, she's always been all ME ME ME, but here she is, pouring her heart out to Cristina about how she has this great (or so she thinks, I beg to differ) guy right in front of her and she can't love him, and meanwhile Cristina was just left at the altar. SHUT UP MEREDITH. It's not always all about YOU.

Weekend Plans:

Tonight we have to go get crickets. Exciting stuff.

Tomorrow morning, Casey has her usual gymnastics practice, during which I will be doing laundry, paying bills, and if I have time, cleaning up the house, which has gotten horribly cluttered lately.

After gymnastics and home to change, we are heading to Zellwood to go to this place. Corn mazes and hay rides! I have never really done anything like it before, and it's so very fall! I'm excited. We're meeting Casey's friend Elise and her parents there (which, I have to admit, I'm not thrilled about since I don't know them and I feel a little awkard. I can be a little withdrawn and not so good with the meeting new people thing. But hey, Elise is her new bestest bud, so it'll be good for me to get to know her folks), as well as Jean and her step-daughter Niki, and possibly Beth. After that, we may go out to eat somewhere.

Sunday is church and breakfast with my parents, and then I'll finish cleaning up the house, get groceries, etc. And oh, I will probably go see the movie Bella. My parents saw it last weekend and my dad very highly recommends it. So what the heck? I think Casey will probably be bored with it, so I might just let her stay home. I'll have to talk to her about it.
