It's time for the daily summer thunderstorms to start. Here's what the sky looked like when I left work last night.

Ooh, scaaary. It never got that bad though... just a little rain. Casey did have good weather for her Wet N Wild trip yesterday, and she had a really good time.

Last night I took her to the library to get a book to bring to summer camp for their reading time. She picked up a couple -

-Stone Fox, which she said is one of her favorites and that it makes her cry
-Scribble, a story about a dog who discovers the ghosts of dead celebrities at a Walmart, and realizes he can communicate with them. I actually might want to read that! It sounds interesting.

While we were there, I got 3 CDs and 2 movies -

-A Will Smith album
-The Happy Feet soundtrack
-The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack, which I already have, but on cassette and I'm not sure where it is right now
-Much Ado About Nothing - you know, the one with Emma Thompson? This movie came out when I was 17 and I fell madly in love with it. Recorded it when it was on TV one day and then watched it over and over. I'm a big Shakespeare fan, and it was such a good story. I haven't seen it in ages, plus I want to show it to Casey (who was like "BLEH, Shakespeare???"... but she will learn. I SAY, she will learn). So yeah.
-Along those same lines, A Midsummer Night's Dream, which stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Calista Flockhart, Kevn Kline, and some other folks. Never saw it before, but I'm hoping it's as good as Much Ado. I may have seen the play version, but I can't remember.

So then after we left, we discovered that the CDs and DVDs were in cases that need to be opened with a machine. We'd done the self checkout thing, and I thought you could just pull them out of their cases. But no. DUH. So I'm going back to the library tonight to get them to open them for me.

Last night's TV -

-So You Think You Can Dance: OOh, finally we get to the good part. The audition stuff is just meh for me. So, I loved the Wiz number... made me want to watch that movie again. I also liked the Vagabond one, and the contemporary one with Benji's sister Lacey. As of right now, Lacey and Hok are our favorites, but not by much. So many of them are amazing. I'm psyched. I love watching those dance routines. We tried to watch Dancing With The Stars, but I got bored really quick because the choreography wasn't as interesting.

-Rescue Me: I love love love that show and I'm SO excited it's back. Last night's episode wasn't as good as some others I've seen, but I did laugh out loud several times. And ooh, the mystery at the end. Is Sheila alive or dead? I mean yeah, he saw her at the end. But he does "see" dead people. Like when he got beat up in the elevator, which was hilarious. I'm not sure how she would have ended up dead, though. From what I remember of the finale, she left Tommy in the house and got in the car. Did the car explode or something? Or did she run away and everyone thought she died in the fire? So if Tommy thinks she's dead, he'd still have his hallucinations of her being there. Hm. I kind of miss his Jesus visions. They were always really funny.
