Shopping Madness
Last night after work I stopped to get groceries. Then I went to pick Casey up, and I was ready to finally go home and kick back. Yeah, right. Casey was like "Mom, I have a problem. I need a new bathing suit for tomorrow." Erg. Today she is at Wet N Wild with the summer camp. Apparently, yesterday they were told that they had to either wear a one piece swim suit or a shirt over their bikini. Casey only has a bikini, but has been wearing a shirt over it lately anyway. Body issues or something I guess. I don't know. So I was like "So, wear a shirt like you always do." and she was saying how on some of the slides they make you take off your shirt, plus she didn't want to wear the camp shirt (they have to wear it on all the field trips) over her swim suit because it's big on her and she doesn't like the way it looks. GR. So yeah, we had to go home, put away the groceries, and then turn around and go back out for a new bathing suit. I told her she should have called me. I could have taken her shopping with me and we could have gotten the groceries and the bathing suit at the same time. Or my mom could have taken her. Double GR.
So yeah, I got her a pretty cute one piece that has a skirt you wear over it. I also ended up buying her a pair of capris. I've been having trouble getting her to wear anything but long pants, but these were cute jean capris with a camo belt, and they were on sale for $6. So I asked her if she'd wear them if I bought them for her, and she said yes. She's wearing them today, so that's good.
When I got in the office this morning, my boss told me he wanted me to go out and buy a present for him to give a guy who is leaving the company. His last day is Friday, but Todd wants to give him a gift today at noon. So I'm about to go out into the park and try to find some kind of souvenir. Then on Thursday they are having a going away party for him at Gators, so I have to call them and let them know to expect a big group. And no his actual last day, I'll need to get a card signed for him, and I think I'm getting him a cake too. Whew.
P.S. The flowers Tony gave me last Friday have really bloomed and are looking so beautiful now. I wanted to share. Ignore the clutter surrounding them. LOL
