(no subject)
Last night I made Casey call the cookie lady and tell her that she’d forgotten to turn in her orders. She was very distraught that I wasn’t going to be the one making the call.
“Why do I have to do it?”
“Because YOU are the Girl Scout. YOU forgot to turn in the form. This is YOUR responsibility.”
“But you know I’m shy!”
“All the more reason for you to learn to interact with people.”
“I want to learn later!”
“Nope”
“But mom. I’ll probably get nervous and hang up on her. Like 4 times!”
LOL
She did fine once she made the phone call, but I had to write her a script so she’d feel better about it. She sure does like to make the smallest things seem like the end of the world. Anyway, we were able to email the order to her, so all is well.
Gymnastics team practice tonight. I talked to her a little more this morning and told her that I really want her to try to stick it out for the whole hour and a half, and that I’d be there watching the whole time. She seemed okay about it. We’ll see.
Willow is doing okay staying in the kitchen behind a gate while we are gone during the day, except that she keeps peeing on the floor. I finally got these absorbent pad things (they kind of look like giant maxi pads) to put on the floor, but yesterday she went both on the pad and off. So I put more down today and we’ll see how it goes. Still, this is better than her being stuck in her crate all day. I am thinking about video taping her while we’re gone because I’m extremely curious about what she does. Does she look out the window all day? Or sleep in her crate? Or play with her toys? Is she happy? LOL, I’m a little wacko.
TR Knight (George from Greys) was on Ellen yesterday. He was freaking adorable. I heart him.
The Grease show actually got interesting. We finally finished the latest episode last night. Okay, so this guy and girl who were dating were both going for the roles of Danny and Sandy, and they kept talking about how she is professionally trained and he's not, and he was all "If she gets through and I don't, I'll totally support her" and she's all "Me too". Right, so guess what? He gets picked and she doesn't. What does she do? Without a word to him, she grabs her stuff and takes off. What a bitch, eh?
