So, at my weight watchers meeting Tuesday, I discovered I had gained 2 pounds, for a total of 3 this month. But it was a really good meeting, and I have my motivation back. I felt better, because I guess a lot of people had gained that week, and we were talking about how most of us are "repeat offenders", who lost their weight before and are now back because they gained it back. It was refreshing, because I hate when I get to a meeting and I've gained, and everyone else is talking about how great they did, and I'm thinking "SHUT UP". So I'm ready to have a good week and get back on track. I just have to keep reminding myself that I don't want to go back to the way I was again. I need to put a fat picture on the fridge!

Did I mention I'm writing a book? One day a year or so ago, I was thinking about all the stuff I have gone through at the hands of the opposite sex, and I was like "I could write a book!" Some stuff is funny, some of it heart-breaking, but I'm doing it mostly for therapeutic reasons. It's working well in that respect... there are things that occur to me now as I write about the past that I never thought of before, and I think reliving the emotions, to an extent, is helpful. And who knows? Maybe I can get it published. I don't know about that. I am on page 51 in Word (default font and margins), so that's a decent bit. I'm actually almost done, and I was thinking I might go back and just make it an autobiography, not just about men, but about life as a military brat, etc, keeping this stuff in it, but writing around it about other things. If nothing else, it keeps me busy at work.

Casey is SO grounded tonight. She was playing with Danielle yesterday and then suddenly came home, saying that Danielle had a tantrum and started kicking her, so Christine took her home. I asked her why she kicked her, and she said it was because she pointed out that her underwear was showing and everyone laughed. So I emailed Christine today and asked her about it, and apparently, Casey is a big fat liar. What actually happened, as eye witnessed by Christine (unbeknownst to the girls at first), was Casey grabbed Danielle's arm and told her she was taking her to jail (maybe for letting her underwear show... LOL), and was hurting her with her grip. Danielle told her to let go and she wouldn't, so she kicked at her, so then Casey just started hitting Danielle. Christine said she was lecturing Casey about her behavior when Casey went after Danielle again, so she took her home. I don't know what her deal is, but I do know she lied to my face, so she's in major trouble tonight.

We also got her FCAT scores yesterday. They were incredible. On a scale of 1-5, 3 being on grade level, she got a 5 in both Reading and Math. Then they show each section's possible points and the points she got, and she got perfect scores in most of them, and those that weren't perfect were off by 1 or 2. My little genius. Genius liar, that is. Apparently, she was bragging to Danielle that she's the smartest kid in class. Argh... I guess I get to talk to her about bragging along with hitting and lying tonight. I just love being a parent!

Still speaking of my lovely daughter, she has been impressive in the mornings lately. She's been setting her alarm for 6:30, getting up, walking the dog and then waking me up (I am addicted to the snooze button and always end up late for work.) So that's all well and good, but this morning was interesting. Willow has gotten a ton better about not pooping in the house, mostly because her new favorite place to hang out is the porch, which is fine with me... I have to pick it up anyway, and at least it's not on my carpet. But we can't let her out of our sight, because she's still not perfect. So this morning as I was getting in the shower, I told Casey to watch Willow and make sure she doesn't run off and poop. So as I'm getting dressed, I hear "MOM! Willow pooped!". I said "I told you to watch her, and you didn't. You pick it up." She got so mad and started yelling and getting all upset, like I had just grounded her for a week. I told her I'd pick it up, but she now had 2 demerits: 1 for not watching Willow and 1 for yelling at me (3 demerits=no allowance, 4=grounded). She said "I'm sorry... it's just that sometimes you hurt my feelings." So I hurt the princess' feelings by asking her to clean up after the dog. Whatever. She has got to get over herself.

I'm taking May 30-June 3rd off. It's Casey's first week out of school and her summer care won't be open until the following week, so I thought what the heck? We'll hang out. It should be fun. I say that after all the crap she's pulled this week. LOL. But really, I can't wait to have a week to hang out, get some stuff done and maybe have some fun with the brat.

My dad had to have his bone density checked today. He is apparently 3 inches shorter than he used to be. I know that happens as you get older, but not that much and he's only 61. He does have Multiple Sclerosis, so maybe that is related. I don't know... we'll find out soon enough.

So, my house is getting all these repairs done and getting repainted, and the guy called me the other day to tell me that he pulled a board off the side of the house and tons of bugs came running out. We thought it might be termites. GREAT. But it turns out it's just ants. Still, the siding is rotted, so there has to be a lot of work done. Dammit, I miss renting.
