attn video game geeks:
occasionally, i like to play video games for 70 hours a day. my favorites have been
baldur's gate and
champions of norrath and their sequels. i prefer rpgs because, like many girls, i like wearing cool ass armor and crushing skeleton skulls with my flaming (and bejeweled) morning star.
tk has tons of video games but most of

p.s. i just looked up metal gear solid on amazon. it sounds interesting, but there's too many. is there, like, a certain game i should start with? also, i CANNOT drive my way out of a paper bag video game wise. i just suck. so if there's something timed and i need to drive somewhere, i might as well just give up now.
end of line.
ETA because your knowledge of video games being awesome is a statement, not a question.

As for the list of games, I'll speak with the missus and see what all we'd like. A few sound interesting and some she might want to try.
Now back to my ultimate geeky-ness, the MGS series is quite involved and there is no driving. Lots of sneaking and shooting though. As for what game to start with, it would depend on if you want to start at the beginning, go in chronological order, or for the nerdy elitists, you can play from the very first games that came out on nintendo. The game that hooked me was MGS2 but if I were someone who had never played the series, I'd play through 1 before 2 due to the story. Yet if you don't like the terentino style of story telling, I'd say play 3 first then play the rest in order. But I warn you, the biggest game of the series, MGS4 is on PS3. It's extremely long and it ties up all the loose ends in the series. Finally, there are a few of the games on other platforms but they aren't as important as MGS1-4.
Once again, thank you for the compliment. I've always been a gamer in all forms and love the stuff.
A question for you. Have you ever played any of the Devil May Cry Series? It's another one I enjoy.

i realized i forgot to ask an important question though: are these first person shooters? because my brain is broked and i always get sick/headachey when tk plays 1st person shooters. i guess i could try taking dramamine...
i wish there was a section on amazon for "sissy old lady games who can't drive virtual vehicles and get motion sickness." yeah. i bet there'd be a LOT of games there. *facepalm*
my secret dream: someone would make a decent doctor who game with david tennant doing the voice. I WANT THIS.
okay, now i shut up and possibly do work.
adios! *waves*

Games that the missus and I are interested in are:
Ratchet And Clank: Going Commando
Jak II
Metal of Honor Frontline
There are a few really good games for XBox360. Some games we like for it are Gears of War and Beautiful Katamari. But most of the good games are FPS. The only good one we have that isn't FPS or similar is Katamari.
I love board games. They are half the fun at gaming cons. A lot of the board/card games that I play I discovered at con. I hear Arkham Horror is an excellent board game.

i'll pkg up the games you guys want and get those sent out. could you pm your address? do you want me to send them to your main in case i'm a wacko? (i am btw, but not a dangerous one.)
arkham horror is pretty good, but by far my fav is prolly descent. i'm hoping to play this weekend! i also recommend the card game blue moon. it's easy to learn and lots of fun.
