How much do I love the Trickster? MORE THAN ANY OF YOU!!! I have loved the Trickster since Aught Four, when I first saw him as the WWII era trickster, Skip Muck. Sadly, Skip was blown to tiny bits by a German shell. (Truly, the real guy RSpJr played died in the Battle of the Bulge; RSpJr has been killed horrifically and repeatedly on TV ever since.)

Best part of ep: "Sam Winchester wears makeup! Sam Winchester cries his way through sex! Sam Winchester keeps a ruler by the bed and every morning when he wakes up he -- OKAY ENOUGH!!"

GLEEEEE! you're absolutely right! i'm made of dumb and forgot to include that. that was PURE GOLD. those boys were fantastic tonight. i spent half the ep crying from laughing and the other half crying over sam's empty shell of a life. that scene where he stitched himself up? damn.

I second everything you said with a very, very hearty "Ditto," and an "OMG! So good." It was worth last week to get to this week and this is how I KNOW that regardless of WHAT happens, I am with the show until the bitter, bitter end.

i seriously think show just keeps getting better and better and will get to a point that is so much better, that it will kill me dead.

so, my question is - did trickster squirrel dean away somewhere for, what was it, 3 months? since that was a mind-fuck for sam, was dean really 'dead'? did his soul go to hell? limbo?

and, when he said 'hellfire rumba' i so thought of refur!!

good question. i sort of thought that the trickster made all of this happen in sam's head so even thought lots of time passed, it really only equaled one regular day. and dean wasn't really dead or in hell. but i'm not sure how "trickster time" works.

and, when he said 'hellfire rumba' i so thought of refur!!

could be, but i think it's probably more complex than that. he is a god after all. and i can't help but like him.

I loved this episode, but I only have time to watch it once before I visit the parents overnight, but it was so hurty, I don't even know how to feel about it, besides the love, obviously. I desperately want to write an angsty coda about this. Or maybe we could get kroki-refur to do it! Come on, you know she can't resist our little faces!

You peed yourself.... omfg. And Bobby hugging Sam... okay, it was the Trickster, but I believe that Bobby would hug Sam, this fits in so nicely with our big bang chatter about Bobby loving Sam. Eeeeep.

i know! and when bobby hugged sam and he just stood there all broken and dead inside it was so sad! :-( even though bobby wasn't real, you know he loves sam. and he would totally rescue sam from a mental hospital. *stares at you meaningfully*
