Plumbing problems.

I've lived in my apartment for like seven months now without a kitchen sink. I moved in with the understanding that the sink would be fixed and quite frankly I'm tired of paying my rent and having nothing done about it. To complicate matters further, my landlord is my grandmother, so I don't exactly want to take her to court or anything. Every time I ask her when the sink will be fixed she says "when I get the money" and that's basically the end of the discussion.

So does anyone know of a reputable plumber in the area who might help? The problem is that the pipe going from my apartment through my grandma's bedroom all the way down to the basement is leaking and needs to be replaced. It's really old and probably not up to code and I really don't want to have to move. According to my grandmother, she had an estimate done about a month or so ago(though to my knowledge no one has been in my apartment to look at the sink since I first moved in) and she was told it would cost around $3000 to fix. I'm fairly convinced that there must be someone out there who will fix it for cheaper.

So if anyone can recommend a plumber that can help I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!
