A new concern

So yesterday I was working and I had my work keys in one pocket, my car keys in another. I finished up a job, stepped out of the house, and from what I remember locked the door, took the key out, then checked to make sure the door was locked. I then maybe did one other thing and then left. That was the last time I remember seeing the work keys. They might have slipped down or were placed in the passenger side floor area. They might maybe have ended up in my trunk or my back seat. They might have slipped somewhere around my driver's chair. But then I don't remember seeing them again. So it would make sense they are in the car somewhere, right?

Then I went to a couple banks and directly to my mechanic so he could take the car to a specialist in Detroit to get a pipe fitted onto the exhaust system. One of my friends gave me a ride home. When I got home, it was clear I didn't have my work keys anymore. I talked to the mechanic who had one of his guys (I presume the one who drove the car to Detroit) look in the car and didn't find the keys (mostly around the console area or whatever you call the box next to the driver's seat people put stuff in - not the one in front of the passenger seat) and he said he didn't find them. Jay said he would look again today so maybe the car is still at his shop and hasn't gone to Detroit yet. Anyway, I need the car for work Sunday and Jay has been saying the car will be done Saturday but anyway I've looked everywhere, called both of the banks and the only logical places left where the keys could be is somewhere in the car or maybe in the mechanic's lobby if they fell out of my jeans there. So I'll probably call him again in the morning and ask him to look in the lobby. Plus if the car is still at his shop, I might get a ride over to his garage in the morning before it goes to Detroit and look in the car really well in places I wouldn't expect the mechanic to look.

I don't want to think about what will happen if I don't find those keys. It's just another problem on top of the other ones. With all of these real problems (lost renter, broken computer, broken phone, lost keys, car problem) thinking about invisible problems doesn't mean much but that's alright. All of this stuff will pass and things will go back to better, hopefully better than they were before they started. Anyway, these are the types of things people go through that gains them experience and wisdom and makes them better in the long run. Experience is super important and learning from problems is even more important than that.
