Wow - just got back from Rye Playland. So much fun.
It was a little rainy, but we had a good time. Paul, Tom, Jenna, and Pam came and it was a lot of fun... even though we only went on a few rides. The walk was great...
Here's a good story for all of you who enjoy amusing anecdotes. So, the walk is, fully, 6.5 miles long. Now, I know a shortcut that cuts it down to about 4 miles and it's nice scenery as well... it's right off the walk path and leads straight back to playland, where we end up anyway.
So we decide to take it. And where it is is across a cross-walk across the street... but we don't take the cross-walk, we just cross the street and go on the shortcut. The next thing I know, tom says "Josh, look behind us." And all I see is this sea of people following us. It is at this time that I realize that everybody has followed us onto my shortcut and we are now leading somewhere around 300 people back to Rye Playland through my shortcut. This was crazy. I was Moses and they were my Jewish people. It was crazy.
But, we led them back safetly and then we went into the park, went on some rides, got fudge and funnel cake, and came home.
And now, me, Paul, and Tom are off to see Star Wars - Woo hoo! I'm excited. I'll tell you how it was when I get home. Later!
