hi, i am against gay marriage for reasons more than keeping it "sacred" or whatever, and since i do think that it should be kept sacred i do think that reality shows "married by america, who wants to marry a millionare." and all of the other ones are stupid. and i think the line is crossed even more with hollywood these days where marriage is turning into a joke, its turned into something that famous people do to say that they are serious with their partner, not that they are in love or that they are meant to be together, just something else for them to do. i think that's wrong, but it's their choice, and that's the great thing about God... he gave us choices in our life. We can choose to live how we want, and all of these people... even though i don't agree with their lifestyles, are choosing their own lives. Unfortunately, their choices will come along with consequences... but that's what life is all about ( ... )

So why are you against gay marriages then? What's wrong with two people who're in love being able to be together in a way that's acceptable to society? Our society already discriminates against gays on a regular basis, why not give them something to show that we aren't all bigots and morons ( ... )

alright. i guess i'm sorry if i really honestly offended you. the thing is that i think it's a little silly for people who really have nothing to do with a situation trying to dictate how people love each other. i'm not politically one way or the other, but did you know that some people want to make an ammendment to outlaw gay marriage? an ammendment. i dont know. i guess that seems like pretty extreme measures to try and get people to follow the same religious standards as a select few. it kinda boils down to this; if you dont like gay marriages, then dont get married to someone of the same sex. besides that, it really has nothing to do with any of us. i agree that god lets us make our own decisions. but if so many people are against gay marriages, we arent letting homosexuals make their own decisions at all. the beautiful part about this country is that we get to make our own decisions so long as they dont negatively effect someone else, and this doesnt ( ... )

being a gay man myself, i have more of a right to talk about this issue than you do, someone who obviosly knows very little about it. let me explain a few things to you; homosexuality IS NOT A CHOICE. just like straight people do not choose to be attracted to the opposite gender, gays do not choose their attraction to the same gender. we may choose to sleep with our own gender, but we cannot help or control the attraction. the same God that made people straight also made some people gay. there are millions of good, law abiding citizens in this country that are denied the right to marry, and it is flat out unfair. the gay rights movement will surley go down as the great civil rights battle of this generation, you will feel pretty stupid in 20 years when gay marraige is as common and accepted as black people going to college is today. gay marriage would in no way infringe on the rights of straight people to get married, it poses no harm to you or any staright people. and for the record, since gay people have had no hand in ( ... )
