While Eric was gone on his fishing trip, he received an offer for an internship. He got back yesterday and talked with his dissertation advisor and another faculty member. They seemed to really think this internship would help him in what he wants to do long-term. I'm really proud of him for getting this internship ( Read more... )

When football season starts, if you'd like to come down here when Michigan plays away games, you can watch football with my family and I, and stay here overnight, if you'd like. We'll even watch OSU, and I won't say many bad things...We could work something like that out.

Also, in October I head down to Winchester, VA. It's about an 8 hour drive. And it's an hour/hour and a half. You could ride down with me, rent a car, drive to DC for the long weekend, and be back in Winchester at the end of the weekend, to ride back with me. Thus, all it would cost you is some gas money and a car for a few days, which I do believe you can get pretty cheap. Or we could, if I'm still not working, figure something out wherein I can drop my camper off, and drive you into DC earlier in the week...and either come back and pick you up, or have Eric drive you out to me. Or something like that.

Anyway, just throwing the out there. So you could see him at least once.

That is an awesome offer. Depending on dates and what I've got scheduled, I may take you up on it.

Hey, it's no problem.

Nationals is the first full weekend in October. Normally I would go down on Wednesday, but with you along we could work it out and go earlier if you'd like. I go home Monday, but again, could stay a day later if necessary.

That is all, of course, based around me not getting a job. But at the rate I'm going, with no phone calls about anything I've applied for, I think we're safe.

Hey, are you still going to Nationals? If I can swing it, I may want to tag along. If it's an option, what are the dates you'd leave/come back?

Ummm. I'm not 100% sure yet. I am going, for sure. But my trip may be extended further than I thought, if I'm still around.

Do you have my email addy? It's my user name at yahoo. Shoot me an email and remind me, and I'll figure out what's what. I have to talk to some people.
