The noise of the train arriving had peaked Jimmy's interest; considering he was already in the area, coming back from a 'meal' of the cafeteria mush, it's not like it was out of the way. Looked like the new arrival was some kid about his age, looking lost; he pushes up off the wall he was leaning against and approaches.
Ken was surprised by the appearance of another person his age, this one appearing to be a Westerner at that. He smiles, hoping his English is good enough to facilitate communication.
"Hello. Do you know where we are?" He speaks English with a distinct accent, but he can be understood.
"Hell if I know." he shrugs. "From what I hear, things from people's worlds have been appearing soon after they got here. Maybe the place is trying to make itself by bringing people in."
He thinks for a moment before extending a hand. There was only about a dozen people here, so he should try to be nice.
Ken frowned and nodded as he considered this. This was very, very strange. It reminded him of the Digital World in so many ways, but it wasn't. He looks at the hand a moment before reaching out to take it firmly.
"You too, Ken." he says, giving a slight smile. He jerks his head towards the shining elevator on the other side of the Hub. "The residential zone's over there, if you wanna make a house. Food's taken care of with this cafeteria slop they give us, unless you want to catch one of the flying fish."
"What kind of food do they serve here?" He wrinkled his nose. Ken wasn't a very picky eater, but there were some foods he just wouldn't touch. And he would probably have to get onto that house thing soon...
"Not much worse than what I had at school." he shrugs. One of the aforementioned flying fish takes the opportunity to drift lazily around the station, near the other end of the platform. "Haven't had much luck catching them."
"Not really." he says, folding his arms. "Go ahead and try, though."
Shit, that'd be funny, watching someone jump around like an idiot trying to catch a fish. Give him another couple of weeks on that slop and he might be doing it himself.
"Hey."

"Some other world, I hear. It's still putting itself together, so stuff is all messed up."

"Well, yes. Another world..." He nods, "I had figured that. But it's not the world I'm familiar with. This is very strange."
Reply
"Yeah, no kidding." he grumbles, folding his arms. "Hell, we even have to build our own houses."

"We must build our own houses? How strange." He looks around the station again. "I don't quite understand why we are here."

"I do not think catching one would be easy. It is not exactly like normal fishing, is it?"
