Anise had just barely gotten use to this world and still found herself upset over not being able to go back home. Much less, she hardly had anyone to talk to. This was hardly different from the rest of the time she had spent alone at Daath with only Ion for company, but at least Ion was around.
She was passing by the Hub when she noticed a boy step off a train. Hey, another new comer? Well, she might as well head over and say her hello's. Approaching the boy with a wave, she happily greeted him, "Hi!"
Ken started briefly as the girl approached him. Well, he should be used to strangers talking to him now, what with the child prodigy thing and all. He bowed politely and with as much calmness as he could muster at the moment.
Anise faltered as he bowed. What age did this guy come from? Could he be from Daath? No, he dressed too weirdly. Besides, she'd probably recognize him at least a little bit if that was the case. Maybe he was just overly polite? Really, she should be the one who was bowing, but he didn't know that.
"So let me guess, you have some questions that need to be answered," Anise offered with a small smile. Might as well be helpful while she was here.
Ken cocked his head to one side as the girl spoke, then nodded smiling. Finally, someone who was going to answer his questions! He took a breath, then spoke.
She paused and thought of how to go about this situation. She could just as easily ask for money in return for the information she gave but... well, she didn't need money right now. There wasn't anything to use it for. So Anise made the decision to be charitable today.
"Well, I didn't get here long before you did, so I probably can't answer as much as you'd like. The absolute basics here is that you took a train ride over here, and now you can't get out," she said simply.
Ken crossed his arms, listening as she spoke. So, she didn't know much more then him. Interesting. Was everyone here a new arrival? That would certainly change the situation.
"That much I know, yes. I thought this was a place I knew at first, the Digital World, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Do you know anything more then that we're trapped here?"
She shrugged, "Nope. Like I said, I'm not sure if I can answer all the questions you have. But well, while you're here, you can go and start gathering information. I'll tag along if you want company~"
The fon master guard also made note of this 'Digital World' that he talked about. She wasn't familiar with that terminology before, and it sounded rather odd. She'd have to ask him later on.
"Thank you for trying, at least. It's hard enough being in a strange place and not knowing anyone. And some company would be nice, thank you." He smiled, examining the girl.
Oh sweet, she finally had some company. And he didn't seem like that bad of a guy either. But well... she couldn't jump to conclusions. But she could at least be friendly until she knew him better. ... Until she realized she didn't even know his name.
She returned his smile and then extended her hand for a handshake, "Tell me about it. I'm Anise by the way, nice to meet you!"
Well, she definitely noticed the difference between shaking his head and shaking Ion's hand. But she figured it would be best not to say that out loud.
"Drop the 'Miss', okay? It's just Anise. Do you mind if I call you Ken?" she asked, not really one for keeping up small things like that. Besides, she was hardly ever friends with someone when she added 'Miss' or 'Mister' to their name.
Anise did a silent cheer and smiled, at least this guy was willing to cooperate. Maybe she could get used to sticking around for a while.
"Great!" she said, probably seeming more happy than she probably was. But she had to butter this guy up a little after all, "So let's get going!" She grabbed his hand out of instinct and started to head out of the Hub, even if she didn't have a destination in mind just yet.
Ken was shocked, to say the least. He was a bit used to stranger's attentions, because that came with being a boy-genius celebrity. What he wasn't used to was people who he'd just met grabbing him and dragging him off to who knows where.

"H-hey!" He managed to splutter indignantly.

What had she done wrong?
