Physically unperturbed, she turned around to face this sudden intrusion on her musings; smiling gently but in a clearly detached manner, she answered simply. "In a way; yes; please call me Ryuuzaki."
"Ryuuzaki? Okay!" She giggled and smiled, extending a hand. "I'm Nozomi! Yumehara Nozomi! We all got brought here, so I'm waiting for my friends to pick me up. They've taken a really long time to get here, but I know they'll show up sooner or later!"
L extended her own hand absently, looking around. This girl, Nozomi... Was she a scout? Was this a prank, then? She had thought perhaps she had stumbled upon a housing system, but the phrase "brought here" clearly said that this was not a voluntary environment to find oneself in.
If there was one thing he didn't tire of, it was watching people arrive. Especially when said people were female, and not other harbringers of doom from his own world (funny how he'd need to look for that, too, now).
Ryoji watched quietly as the odd girl stepped off the train. He didn't say anything; she seemed pretty serious with whatever she was thinking. ... Of course, this caution never lasted long enough to, say, actually award him a brain. She was female, and that's all he needed to know to go right up to her with a big smile, scythe on his back and all, and grin.
"Hi there!" He said, probably with too much enthusiasm and volume.
She surveyed this new person in front of her, grinning with a scythe and very forward. Instead of cringing at the volume, she smiled vaguely and replied with a carefully neutral tone.
Ryoji, unfortunately, was used to being around people who had become... accustomed, to his over-zealous nature, and the 'quirks' that came with it. The neutral expression she had reminded him a lot of his friend, Minato, who pretty much didn't know the word expression, let alone how to use it.
"You're new, right?" Ryoji paused. It wasn't a thoughtful pause or a, 'Gee, I wonder if she'll slap me for being so forthcoming...' pause, but more of a 'well, she seems like fun!' pause.
"My name's Ryoji! Do you have a name~?" Because clearly being so forward and kind would warrant him being shown the same kind of generosity (or what he considered to be it), in his mind.
"Yes, please call me Ryuuzaki." An automatic answer, a new name she'd adopted, a name she'd taken as her own from the case before she'd begun her new case... the presumably psychic killer would probably, she mused, not be found here, though how eerily lucky she'd consider herself were this to turn out in such a positive way. She shook her head slightly to clear it and focus on the task at hand, which was to maintain positive to neutral relationships with those with whom she came in contact.
"Yes, I have only just arrived. Have you been here awhile, Ryoji-san?"
She raised her own hand, almost automatically; it was polite, after all, to return a greeting. Instead of verbally responding, however, she simply nodded her head in acknowledgement, afterwards eyeing his roses with apparent interest.

Well, someone looked awkward.
He raised a hand to her in greeting, "Yo."
