it's the second coming...
i know becca will appreciate this... (teehee)
as i was leaving smyth tonight, i saw a bug on the ground. i was certain it was a fish fly, but people were waiting for me, so i didn't stop to look. on the way back home, the lights on the back of wahlert hall was coated. and the lights in front of smyth. aaaaaaand... the lights inside the door. ICK ICK ICK!!!! they didn't come upstairs. or downstairs. they must not be attracted to florescent lights, because none of them made it past the entry way.
but... what the hell... since when to we get a second hatching of fish flies???? these ones are significantly smaller than their june counterparts. but they're definitely fish flies. i saw them up close and personal in my staircase. i mean, don't get me wrong, this isn't nearly as bad as it was in june. but it is still ridiculously unnecessary.
in other news...
we had a bit of a flag-making contest (err... maybe it wasn't so much of a competition, but it certainly sounded like it would be) for all the residence halls. of course, everyone else (err... other than shawn, who wasn't around today anyway) had a team of sorts, but i was on my own. i'm pretty sure mine was the best. i'll give viz some credit, and beckman gets some bonus points for the asbestos jokes (err... yeah... they just pulled up the lobby carpet to find asbestos... but it's gone now... as of yesterday!), but my artistry and creativity definitely take the cake. i spray painted the background with gold, then i painted a picture of smyth hall and it says "little house on the campus". :-D i should post pictures. but that would take too long, and i should go to bed. but, anyway, it's cute, and if this were a contest and i were the judge, i'd win. :-P

tonight we had a movie night in the planetarium. we watched TMNT, which scotty bought today after i told him it went on sale yesterday. good times, good times. but the crowd wasn't just RAs. this afternoon i got a call from cousin paul... totally random... and he told me he was in town for the week on business. crazy. so he came and joined the party. we chatted for a little while afterwards too. it was good. i don't see much of the kid, and even when i do see him, we don't talk much. so, it was pretty cool.
iiiiiii suppose i should go to bed. either that or make more door decs. prolly sleep.
