Waiting for the jetlag in New Zealand

Apr 12, 2011 20:41

Well here I am again. Another update, are you surprised? I am! Then again, I’ve probably just jinxed myself by saying that.

I’m in New Zealand at the moment, and it’s late in the afternoon. I arrived here early in the morning, after an extremely tiring flight from Los Angeles. But it was a nice flight. I think I’m just exhausted with all the time zone changes.

At LAX, Jayden almost lost his phone because it never came through after the security checks! We had to wait a while, until it turns out another passenger had it accidentally. And then we waited in the lounge before we boarded. All pretty standard.

Luke joined us and he’s taking a trip to New Zealand same time as us. And my family is all coming over. As is Jayden’s parents. And they don’t all arrive until tomorrow morning, and I’m already holding my breath to have to deal with the mass amount of questions I’m going to have hurled our way. Then again, I guess it’s our fault for not telling them *exactly* what we did or did not do in Vegas. Gosh, I’m pure evil!

We met Jayden’s brother Jamie over here this morning. He arrived a day earlier. And the guys are getting prepped for the weekend. As the V8 Supercars hit Hamilton, it shall be a great weekend.

Christchurch… It’s unreal to see what unfolded here not so long ago. And not in a good way. It’s heartbreaking, to say the least.

The jetlag hasn’t quite hit yet, and New Zealand is just another time to adjust to. It’s like 19 hours or something the difference between New Zealand and Los Angeles. I’ve switched time zones that many times in the past month that my body clock has gone haywire. But hey, it’s all part of the fun! I probably won’t be saying that when the jetlag kicks in later!

So, it’ll be a huge weekend. Not back to Australia just yet. It’s been nearly a month away from home already! And given I won’t be back in Perth for a little bit yet, it will be quite a long time away from home. Given how often I fly back when I’m away anyway.

Hopefully I’ll get the chance to update again whilst in New Zealand, if not it will definitely be as soon as I can.

I have a few hello’s I need to get through, before I end this. Just stick with me, it won’t be long!

Hi to my family back home. I’m a little bit devastated that I’m missing so much, especially with Benny and his milestones! I love you all so much and I can’t wait to see you here in New Zealand tomorrow!

Hello to my special friend overseas; you know who you are. I haven’t heard much from you lately, and I don’t even know if you still read this. But if you do, know that I’m thinking of you always!

To Erin and Britt, I’m so relieved I get to see you both tomorrow because I’ve missed you both so much! I can’t wait just to talk; so much has happened and changed since I’ve been away.

All in all…. Best wishes to all!
