Harsh Realities of Los Angeles

Apr 10, 2011 18:24

More days have passed, and here I am in Los Angeles. Absolutely amazing. Been in LA for a few days now, and it has been terrific. We spent just over a day in Miami, which was rewarding also.

During time in LA, I’ve been to several meetings, and the response over here has been really positive. It’s such a welcome feeling, and it’s great not to be shunned in what could potentially be brutal. It’s not easy to get along here in business! But it’s been wicked, and most definitely a trip to remember.

I’ve loved having Jayden with me the whole time. Originally, he was only going to get to stay a few days in America with me, but his stay was able to be extended. He’s never been to America before, so he’s had fun. What a great trip we’ve had.

We’re not in LA much longer. We leave late tomorrow and we fly to New Zealand. Jayden’s brother and team will meet us there. And my parents have just confirmed they’ll be making the journey to NZ too! V8 Supercar series, bring it on.

I was unwell for a day whilst we’ve been in LA, but I’m a heap better now. All it took was spending a day in bed, in which I watched non-stop DVD’s. And I was as good as new again.

I stayed up all night on the weekend to watch the West Coast Eagles play against the Sydney Swans. But like I said, it was the middle of the night in LA. And then they lost. I was so disappointed. But they played really well, and I’m sure I woke up my hotel neighbours cheering when they got a goal! LOL. Sure they wouldn’t have appreciated it in the early hours of the morning, but I got no complaints. I’m looking forward to getting to watch some of the games live this season again, when I’m finally in Australia.

Anyway, enough from me. Chances are, I will no longer be in America when I write next. So have fun, keep smiling and be safe!

Best wishes,
