Tropical Islands
Oh how nice it is to be here! Honestly, Lord Howe Island is even more beautiful than I imagined. And since I’ve never been here before, it makes it even better.
It’s nice spending time with my family. It’s so rare. Apart from living in different places, we both have hectic work timetables. It’s just complicated sometimes.
I am so over answering what happened to me though. I’ve got stitches and if everyone ever sees them wants to know what happened. Seriously, anyone would think I’m the first person ever in the world to ever have stitches. Then again, I guess I can see why they ask. I do currently have stitches and a bruised head. But seriously.
Lord Howe Island is just gorgeous. And I only got here less than 24 hours ago! But it is. I can’t wait to check it out even further.
The flights weren’t too bad. Our flight to Sydney got delayed by an hour. And the flight to Lord Howe Island was late by 10 minutes. So no big deal. They were both quite pleasant. Although I will admit that flights certainly didn’t help my head. It’s like I’m nursing the world’s longest ongoing hangover! LOL.
Mia is being great. I closed my eyes for a few minutes on route to Sydney. I wasn’t asleep, I just had my eyes closed. And then she gently tapped me. “Auntie Em, I just wanted to make sure you’re okay.” It was very sweet. Poor little honey, had to deal with the chaos of me going to hospital of the past few days. The night I got home, I was snuggling on the couch with her watching movies. Then we went to bed. And she was so kind. When she came and saw me in hospital, she wouldn’t hug me. And I was really confused. She loves giving me cuddles. But she wouldn’t. She flat out refused. When we asked her why, she just sweetly replied that she didn’t want to hurt me. Awww...
So a nice, relaxing break here on Lord Howe Island. Then it’s onto Singapore and hard dancing. Of course we’ll go out for a little bit and soak up the “culture” (more like retail therapy! LOL) but we’ll also be training pretty hard.
I’m so exhausted. It’s a ridiculously hideous hour to be awake. So I’m going to leave it there.
