What a long, long weekend.
I survived the trip with my grandpa, but the drive there was exhausting. I didn't eat breakfast and I really didn't want to stop for lunch because I wanted to get there quicker, so I had a pretty bad headache throughout the trip. Plus, when we got to Lincoln there was some kind of chemical spill and one of the main roads was completely blocked off so we had to take this huge detour all the way around town to get to my sister's apartment building. There probably was a quicker way, but I'm not from Lincoln so I didn't know where I was going.
My sister had to shoot an instructional video for a class and she asked me to be in it. It was pretty bad, though - I'm a terrible actor. But it was fun. I bought her the Aladdin DVD for HER early half birthday (same day as my actual birthday) and I got to spend about an hour in Barnes and Noble, which I rarely ever get to do when I'm with her.
On Friday, we went to see PoA in the dollar theater. That was fun because I haven't seen it since it came out back in June so this was my second time. It was a lot better because the first time it was so crowded that we had to sit in the front and stare up at the screen the entire time. I also got to check out the University library, which the two of us deemed perfect for a horror movie. This thing was HUGE and it was so old and creepy looking.
The drive back home wasn't near as long, but I'm glad to be home finally. I missed my cat.
