A whole lotta nothin', d00d.

Whoa. Okay, I may have reached a new low when I need television programs to figure out what day of the week it is. I was so sure it was Thursday and I was about to watch "Sex & the City." Then "Cold Case" comes on and I'm making a o_0 expression until my little brain manages, in a last effort of strength and will, to wheeze "Wednesday" before it goes kaphloof!

I think this proves how very, very tired I am these days. Thank God tomorrow is my last day of work before Christmas. (ETA: which would be today. Man, what is it with this new habit of posting just minutes after midnight? ugh.)

In an effort to actually make a real journal entry here, I'll try to, you know, write stuff. Yes. I went out driving today, by MYSELF, which was a first. I doubt my dad would've let me do it either, if it wasn't for the fact that I was just picking up a friend and it's a five minute drive. But the trip over to her place, and back home after I'd dropped her off a couple of hours later, was just me and my lonesome. I spent the entire time singing "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" and "More Than That" hideously off-tune to myself, since the car radio actually isn't in the car at the moment. Man, that was so much fun. This driving stuff is like, cool. ♥

And my fandoms have been good to me lately. I'm sure everyone and their mamas know about the Book 6 release date. Still, though - streetscribbles and I found out together, and there was just rejoicing. Or, you know, squeeing. We're not sophisticated enough to rejoice.

Then the PICTURES, oh, the pictures. <3 <3 I'm head-over-heels in love with Ron's dress robes. Why haven't I seen any icons with the frilly dress robes?! I thought I would've seen 20 by now. (And let's not forget that Harry is wearing a BOWTIE and looks like a penguin AHAHAHA, oh I love.) Then the second picture, where there is much woe and angst going on, and my heart makes a little skip because of this. I never thought I'd say this, but Dan's long hair actually works ... I mean, I still prefer the spikes, but this particular hair style could grow on me.

Last, but certainly not least, applecede is reading Robin Hobb and becoming just as obsessed as I am, and oh, this makes me so happy I cannot even describe. Remember, Leila - make "Royal Assassin" last until you have "Assassin's Quest" in your hands, because RA ends on the Mother of All Cliff-Hangers, and trust me, you do not wanna sit around and wait till you can continue reading. I accidentally did that, this summer, because I'd only brought the one book while I was in France. Only I read in like a week, and was fretting so much for the remaining two weeks that my parents were contemplating knocking me unconscious with a baguette. So, well, now you're warned. ♥

Shall now go collapse on my bed and fall asleep immediately. I don't think I'm gonna get those Christmas ficlets done in time. With the lack of brain functionality going on, I doubt I'll get the creative juices flowing by then. Sorry. :( They'll be done as soon as possible. (And streetscribbles, I don't even wanna hear you say it. I'm writing you one, and that's FINAL. *puts on Librarian glasses*)

Completely random, but I just found out that "Lost" is starting over here in January. I figure I should at least see what all the hype is about. Only the channel it airs on is actually only viewable on the TV in the living room. And my parents occupy that living room a LOT. That kind of thing is just not on.

ramblings: random crap, harry potter: movies: goblet of fire, moi: that real life thing, ramblings: books: robin hobb
