I've been meaning to post stuff here but been busy. Anyway let's talk about the upcoming summer tour!
Does anyone else know what the heck is going on?! From what I'm seeing, most everyone is confused and frustrated about lack of information. There are apparently conflicting dates out there and VIP ticket prices aren't even out yet. And we're supposed to buy them in a few days? Really?! Some people said that this tour seems unorganized and rushed (and not in a good way). Hindsight is 20/20 but I'm not surprised looking back. The interviews the guys gave in the beginning of the year saying that they (ie their management) were still talking and booking venues for the summer raised red flags at the back of my head. Then it got closer and closer to summer with the guys still saying that the talks were still going on was worrying. Of course, we don't know exactly what's going on, but their management has a history of making stupid decisions. So now I think we only have a week to get great seats. This tour map illustrates the hilarity. All we can do is wait for more dates to be released.
I keep hearing that this is the last tour because it's the last season of the show and their last album under Nickelodeon. My boyfriend says it's not because they would have said this was their last tour. Then again he calls them "Big Time Mush" and really didn't want me to go to their last tour and pouted when I went anyway. Since I said that I really want to go to this tour because it's most likely their last one, he countered that I would be going to every one of their tours thinking it was the last one and that they would have outright said this was their last tour. I said that they would not announce that this was their last because of their kid audience. This sounds so stupid after typing all this.
I thought about it and maybe it's not their last. The best case scenario is that the 3rd album will come out this summer, then the Summer Break tour happens, the 4th season airs, and then in 2014 they'll do their farewell tour. I honestly can't see this happening. Nickelodeon keeps delaying any show that features them (Marvin Marvin and Penguins of Madagascar). They don't show reruns and their decisions in general seem perplexing. Sony/Columbia Records don't promote them at all.
I guess the point of all this is asking "Is this really their last major thing besides the show?"
