As you know, we had been invited to perform Before the Dawn at the Eastercon in two months time. However, we were already two participants down, having lost a drummer and a Prince. And a wise one too, in the circumstances.

Let's instead put our thinking caps on and cook up an understudy system to cover contingencies, sketch out a workable rehersal schedule, and re-offer it for next year's Eastercon.

I was so sad to hear that we're not doing this at Eastercon, but with only a little while before the convention itself and with so many people out or down or iffy, it is certainly the right decision to make. I will try to hold myself in readiness against a time when we can do it again. It was such a marvellous experience at last year's filkcon, and I would be eager and willing to do it again anytime in the future.

Exactly. Better to postpone it than to have stress and possibly mar the performance by getting people in at the last minute.

(I'm happy to volunteer for tech for it whenever it is done...)

Sorry to hear this. Would love to offer myself as an understudy for the future, in whatever capacity is helpful! I really enjoyed BfD!

Must admit I was wondering how I was going to square BTD rehearsals with the weekends already 'booked' between now and Eostre.

Wise decision. "Aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben" = "postponed is not cancelled" - if we want to do it, we can aim for the year after, perhaps, and make sure that we get started on rehearsals before comitting?
