Pardon the Lengthy Absence
Hey there, minna-san! How are you? Good? I hope so...
Okay, so here's what's been happening to me lately.
About three weeks ago, I noticed I was experiencing dizzy spells. At first I put it to travel because I have times when I get dizzy on the bus and feel sick. But, it started happening when I was watching TV and lying in bed too. So, I decided to see the doctor.
Had a blood test, an ECG and another blood test. The second was fun (sarcastic) because it was barely 24 hours after the first one (which had been done in my left arm), so I requested they try my right arm. No blood. Left arm. No blood. Right arm again. Still nothing. Right hand-vein. They managed to draw quite a bit, but I'd had to hold down my gauze.
Turns out I have iron-deficiency anaemia again, and am also deficient in Vitamin D. So, I'm on supplements for 3 months for both to see if they help. If nothing changes significantly, there might be an underlying cause, and not just choice of dietary intake.
Also, I was sunburned on both legs (fun...) and the first and second days, I had a cool, damp towel over both of them. The second day was the worst, I was stuck in bed (except for when I needed to use the toilet and have a cool bath because I was getting too overheated). Got some aloe vera spray, and the skin is now peeling.
Today is my cousin Adam's wedding. Hopefully I'll have an all-cousin photo to share (please let everyone be there!). If Angie doesn't share it on Facebook, I'll see if they can take one with my phone.
Dad got me another new phone. The other one barely lasted an hour with battery power, and it got so bad it wouldn't even charge.
Also, new anime!
I started watching Soul Eater after hiring the first two DVD boxsets. I've finished them subbed, watching dubbed now. I approve of the dub cast.
Fave characters? Maka Albarn and Death the Kid, but I love all of the main cast (yes, even the loud Black*Star). Even Excalibur is okay in my books, no matter how positively obnoxious.
Fave pairings? I managed to support Kid x Maka without realising it, but I'm a multi-shipper for this series, so I'll even ship Soul x Maka, Maka x Crona, Black*Star x Tsubaki, Kid x Liz, Kid x Patty...even a little Black*Star x Soul and Maka x Tsubaki slipped in!
I can't wait to see more! And as for the recorder music that plays during the best WTF scenes, I wanna learn to play that! I keep feeling tempted to get out my recorder and play along, but then remind myself I have yet to even learn it properly.
