Hey, gang... (Update from previous post) - REQUEST
I was telling you guys a few days ago about a group on Facebook that was reposting fanart without crediting the artists. Well, as of right now, they are gone. It wouldn't surprise me if they reform under a different name, but there will be others to pop up as well.
I'm asking for your help. When you see groups like that, or individuals at other social networking sites, who post fanart and don't credit the artist, REPORT THEM. Tell them that fanart should NEVER be shared if the artist isn't known to give credit to. I was actually told that if artists don't want their stuff shared, we shouldn't put it online in the first place. I don't agree with that, and the whole idea infuriates me. I know I'm not alone in this. Other artists agree with me.
Please, help us? If you find a group/person online who is doing this, let me know? Let the artists in question know. In artists' eyes, it's the same thing as plagiarism, and we all know how bad that is.
