Long Weekend
mischaos2511 and I had a fun time in Charlotte. Here is a little photo recap of the weekend's activities. If I have time later on, I may post more photos. I need to edit some of them.
First we toured "the Castle" where the Charlotte Knights (White Sox AAA) baseball team plays. My brother Michael is doing an internship there this summer. We went everywhere, even in the smelly clubhouse and in the FOUL tunnel out to the dugout. (For some reason it was really moldy in there.) We also saw the offices, suites, pressbox, restaurant, and a waiting room for wives/girlfriends of the players. This pic is my brother Andy pretending to ride the pine.
Later Saturday evening we went to Cheesecake Factory at the South Park Mall. The mall was crazy, VERY upscale. It had stores like Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Tiffany, Kate Spade, Kenneth Cole, etc. VERY out of my price range. After we were finished eating we heard a big boom and went outside to see a super-cool fireworks display.
On Sunday we went to Carowinds amusement park. It was somewhat amusing. Here is a pic of the park from the top of the space-needle-like-thingy that we rode.
Yesterday we got home around 5:00 and later went to North Canton's fireworks display. I love fireworks!
