I went to visit my brother in Florida over the weekend. It was fun. I went to West Palm Beach, Islamorada, Key West, and Ft. Lauderdale. All of the places were nice, but Islamorada was my favorite. Here's a pic from a restaurant I went to Friday night.

I hope everyone had a very happy Christmas...and is looking forward to a great new year. I have enjoyed the holidays so far. One more "fake" Christmas to go with my Dad's side of the family and then it is all over for another year!

This weekend I drove down to Georgia to visit my grandparents and other family members. It was a long 11 hour drip down (and an even longer 11 hour drive back) but it was worth it to see my family. ( Here's a few photos of the trip down. )

My trip to Boston this weekend was lots of fun. I got to see my parents (who i hadn't seen since August) and I got a chance to see the sights of a new city.

So my parents were fine after Katrina blew through their town. It was still a category 1 when it got to Starkville but they just had limbs down and things blown around. Their neighbors had a tree land on top of their home but everyone was ok ( Read more... )

I am sure you have all heard about Hurricane Katrina today. Unfortunately, my parents and one of my brothers are right in the path of it. They live in Starkville, Mississippi (i marked it with a red dot). I talked to them about an hour ago and they were doing ok. The power and phones were out but I talked to my mom on her cell phone. I spent last week in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. It was lots of fun. Sand, sea, pool, family, sunshine, seafood, etc. I just loved getting my toes in the sand again...
