Road Trip
We are in Tahachapi on our way to San Francisco are. Seeing folks!! I hope the rest of the trip is better than today. First off, we only got a couple miles from the house when John noticed that the speedometer was registering 80 while we were driving about 35 or so. Since we don't have a trailer, going back and switching to my car was out of the question (hard to take the motorcycle in the 4Runner). After that fun he was driving using the tachometer to estimate our speed. About 20 or so miles down the road, I remembered that I hadn't put my phone in my purse and in addition, I left the chargers with it. Oh, well, that is 2 right? We played a CD on the car's player and when it was done and began to repeat, John ejected it .... well he tried to eject it. Currently, it is still in the player and won't come out and won't play. I think that is 3. I refuse to add fact that John wet the windshield, left the water on it so that it could "soak", and then got a block down the street before noticing that he hadn't done the rinse/squeegee cycle. I also refuse to add unexpectedly closed rest areas (we knew lots were closed but got caught by one we thought was still open), NASTY head winds, and general icky driving. So, hope tomorrow is better (at least we are going west BEFORE getting to Bakersfield so we get to miss the Tour de California).
