I did not check the weather before I left Houston, so now on Tuesday morning I’m tossing my only pair of jeans into the washing machine.

I don’t have a jacket or any rain gear with me either.  It will be a bit nippy tonight, and raining all day.

The year’s party has come and gone. It’s been at my house for eight years, and coincides with Lights in the Heights which is put on by the Woodland Heights neighborhood, which is half a block from me.

I had a fabulous time last night at the Astros game.  Janet Van Warmer treated England James Allen, Mitch Pauls, and myself to some wonderful seats.  St. Arnold Amber on tap, peanuts, and hot dogs were enjoyed.  As were two Biggio hits, six innings of Oswalt, a two-run Lee homerun that was so high it almost didn't make it to the second row of the ( Read more... )

So, I just confirmed that I have next Wednesday - Friday off, and in addition Monday and Tuesday.  That's Right, spring break for Bill.  So, after ending work on a beautiful day at about 3:30, I headed to the West Alabama Ice House, not having been there in a while.
