OMG, I love this episode so much. I might end up doing a 200+ picture picspam or whatever, we'll see. It'll probably be in my blog again in a few days.  LiveJournal will not let me copy/paste or post photos still. Well, I don't need you, LJ! I've got Blogspot! (Actually it might not be smart to say that in public.)

There's a whole subplot with ( Read more... )

I was spoiled for HeadGaius! At least, he'd made an appearance in one of the video blogs and I immediately knew that's where they were going when I saw the miniseries suit. I think even if I wasn't spoiled, I'd figure it out as soon as he appeared, 'cause I'd always been very insistent about Baltar NOT being a Cylon.

Oh my god, I WISH I could've written a uni essay on Baltar and Six. XD I totally would have.

I would've liked to see more of HeadBaltar. His similarity to HeadSix is being all cool, manipulative, suave -- I always thought it was neat that both of them captured a side of the other's persona that was now *absent*, if that makes sense. Because the real Gaius is now a nervous wreck, and Caprica-Six kinda is too, in a more reserved way (she doesn't have the certainty of her convictions anymore). I think HeadBaltar comes off as a little more cruel than Six? He seems to hit her with the guilt and reverse-psychology a lot.

What, if anything, is this supposed to mean?
Oh my god, I *hate* the poetry. James Callis sells it so well, it didn't really occur to me until reading a transcript later how little sense it makes. I hear it was originally supposed to be part of Lee's near-death experience? 'Cause a total sign of good writing is that you can apply your vague spiritual couplet to ANY SCENE AT ALL. :-/

Nicole, I expect you to answer
Heeee. Well, yes? Obviously. I fully ship Caprica/HeadBaltar/Gaius/HeadSix.

Did Caprica and Sharon's cooperation really lead to anything?
You know, as much as New Caprica sucked, I still think it was a really huge step and, like, historical moment for the Cylons.

"You know, as much as New Caprica sucked, I still think it was a really huge step and, like, historical moment for the Cylons."

That's an interesting idea. Could you elaborate on it? (Or would you rather wait until we get to the New Caprica episodes?)

"I think HeadBaltar comes off as a little more cruel than Six? He seems to hit her with the guilt and reverse-psychology a lot."

I think I'd agree. Of course, we don't see HeadBaltar as much. He seems to be more mellow in the scene with Tigh and Caprica, right? Talking about how Tigh lost the one he loved. That wasn't so much guilting or cruel.

Would you say HeadSix started out as more guilting/seductive, and the maternal reassuring came into it later? Maybe this is the early stages of the angel/person relationship.

"'Cause a total sign of good writing is that you can apply your vague spiritual couplet to ANY SCENE AT ALL. :-/"

Ugh, I know. It's really bad. Life isn't short for cylons anyway, is it? They just get resurrected if they die.

My version:
"Your wounds are red, cigarette smoke is blue,
let the smoke float and you will too..."

Every bit as deep and meaningful! ;)
