1-margo flinging cookie dough onto one of the cameras. that sounds more like a fuck up to me.--But typical behavior considering the manners of the majority of the Pike kids.

well, yeah, you probably feel popular for the first time in your life--it's a major ego boost. and god knows you need one. --So true.

well, at least this time it'll just be mallory visiting him.--And that's a relief for him. Like I said on the other snark, small doses of company are better than dealing with everybody at once

for those who don't get the reference or crave nostalgia...calling all safety scouts:--What creepy puppets! I don't remember that show at all

'somehow i kept a straight face. that was not what i expected him to be watching.'--I'm confused by attitudes like this. My mind automatically went to older artists. Like Mallory expects him to be sitting there listening to Frank Sinatra or Pat Boone, somebody like that. Older = older. But come on, you girls cream yourselves to "I Love Lucy". Depending on the person, you're gonna see tastes all over the board. Some older people might like older and newer stuff, some older people might like one or the other, some younger people might like both or one over the other.

you could always visit him more regularly. without the apes you call your family--Just be sure to keep it to yourself if you visit him. I have the idea everybody would start jumping up and down wanting to go with her if she mentioned the idea in front of her family.

any other time, they wouldn't give a fuck. at the very most, they would get mallory to check on margo.--Sounds bad but it's the truth.

i wonder if any shots of mallory creaming herself to people getting their ears pierced will make it onto the show. --LOL!

what, they're not going to attempt knitting underwear and socks? i'm shocked!--This might be Mallory's one chance. Get on camera and ask for a glittery sweatshirt!

i'm getting goosebumps myself, but mine from wondering just how much cocaine was involved in the making of this brady bunch wreck that's playing in the background as i write. it appears to have been a frightening amount of coke.--LOL! I gotta admit I don't think I've seen any of the variety shows before but I can only imagine how corny they must be! They must've really offered Robert Reed some serious money (for back in that day) to go back and do other Brady Bunch stuff. I think I remember reading how he was very difficult when it concerns some of the more silly episodes of The Brady Bunch.

their voices echoed. i was so embarrassed.'--But would that same embarrassment come out if the cameras weren't there? The Pikes have done a lot of shit I'd be embarrassed about whether we were out in public or not.

ah, it is! and it seems that copies are going from $50 to nearly $150 these days online. fucking seriously? that's obscenely expensive!--What's so special about this book that it's that expensive? Or is it just something automatic? Last year a book about Falco came out and I was so damn excited that I would actually be able to read it since it's in English. They had a paperback version and a hardcover version...the price they wanted for the hardcover was just jawdropping. I just couldn't understand how a brand new book could be so expensive. I got the soft cover book since it's cheaper. Even today it's still expensive as hell: Amazon.com Falco and Beyond: $29.95 softcover and new hardcover ranges in prices from $150-$152 for new while the used books are anywhere from $214-$230. Yeah, I think the people that price this stuff must be smoking something too. Why pay more for a used book than a new book?

(they did. i guess with the cameras on them, they couldn't disagree.)'--She's learning! :)

the pike apes are being especially ape-like as they walk to lear's.--The viewers that watch this must be wondering if all they do is pour sugar down their throats and snort it as well.

it's also making me think of that
scene in 'the brady bunch movie' where they're going down the escalator in sears. that shit always makes me laugh:--lol!

"the old age home?" mr. henry asked. "why?"'--What a lovely attitude! *ends sarcasm*

"with being videotaped," mom answered. "especially kristy."--*groans* Of course the girls get what they want! I'm gonna picture Kristy acting like Barney Fife while on video. wwwDOTyoutubeDOTcom/watch?v=mY_PEcfx0CU

claudia started cracking up.--LOL!

i'll take my laughs where i can get them.--Completely understandable

girrrrrl, go hide with mary anne!--I know! why didn't she go with Mary Anne to start with! And tbh, I would've also been the Mary Anne in this situation.

i'l just...leave that there...--Needless to say I'm completely blown away. My god, is every episode of this show up on youtube because I'm really thinking about watching them.

when my father and the rest of his family went to collect his belongings after he passed away, they found that the nurses stole his stuff-- right down to the family photos he had always carried in his wallet.--That's how you really know you're dealing with the lowest of the low. Bad enough to steal from somebody that's still alive but that's definitely a new low to steal from a person that's passed away

kristy is disturbed that all the attention isn't focused on the glory that is herself, so she starts shrieking,--Again, there's no way I could stand to be around somebody like Kristy for even an hour

oh good. mallory does stand up for him!--Way to go, Mallory!

bitch, you are a grown ass woman--That should've had the nerve to say NO to begin with

omg lol at the Harry Potter gif! Loved the snark! :)

What a lovely attitude! *ends sarcasm*--oh, i know! the guy's clearly an asshole.

*groans* Of course the girls get what they want! I'm gonna picture Kristy acting like Barney Fife while on video. wwwDOTyoutubeDOTcom/watch?v=mY_PEcfx0CU--LOL!! i fucking love that guy. and i totally picture kristy being like that too.

I know! why didn't she go with Mary Anne to start with! And tbh, I would've also been the Mary Anne in this situation.--poor mallory doesn't always make the wisest decisions. hopefully she'll learn with time!

Needless to say I'm completely blown away. My god, is every episode of this show up on youtube because I'm really thinking about watching them.--sadly, not every episode. i believe about five are up as full episodes, though this person has 9 episodes up broken into parts: https://wwwDOTyoutubeDOTcom/playlist?list=PL9B930E9496B6AEE9
you seriously SHOULD watch this, because it's amazingly mind blowing. my cat and i chill out together and watch it a lot. i even convinced my husband to watch an episode, but he couldn't handle it! LOL. it's a pop culture history marvel, is all i can really say. the 70's were a hell of a decade!

That's how you really know you're dealing with the lowest of the low. Bad enough to steal from somebody that's still alive but that's definitely a new low to steal from a person that's passed away--it's definitely a whole other level of fucked up. i don't understand human beings sometimes.

Again, there's no way I could stand to be around somebody like Kristy for even an hour--neither could i. there are times when i have a bit of sympathy for her, but seriously, she'd be impossible to be around.

Way to go, Mallory!--it's about damn time someone in her family did!

That should've had the nerve to say NO to begin with--too bloody right!

omg lol at the Harry Potter gif!--i love that gif, it never fails to crack me up!

Loved the snark! :)--yay! thank you!! i'm glad!

But come on, you girls cream yourselves to "I Love Lucy".

My 6-year-old is the most die-hard of die-hard fans. She literally has every episode memorized. We have fish named after all the characters, and she wants to be called Lucy, and she has a crush on Ricky. She also insists on wearing dresses like Lucy most days. So I've started buying her vintage dresses on Etsy.

I think I remember reading how he was very difficult when it concerns some of the more silly episodes of The Brady Bunch.

He was a classically-trained Shakespearean actor who didn't expect the show to be such a huge hit (it was such a risky show because of the blended family concept, which is why Carol's husband isn't ever mentioned--they divorced) that he had no reason to believe he'd he typecast. A couple seasons in, when he was see as BEING Mike Brady even off the show, he realized his serious acting career was over. His chance of ever being taken seriously again was dead. It was hard for him to handle, and made him snappish.

That is adorable!!! Lucy is and was a legend, there was just something about her that was so genuine and sweet.
My daughter was obsessed with the Wizard of Oz and wore her hair like Dorothy for a solid year or better!

But typical behavior considering the manners of the majority of the Pike kids.--lol, so true!

And that's a relief for him. Like I said on the other snark, small doses of company are better than dealing with everybody at once--exactly.

What creepy puppets! I don't remember that show at all--i'm starting to suspect it may have been canadian…LOL. yup, just did a search, it was totally canadian. well, you guys get to be creeped out by some 80's canadian puppetry and safety fear-mongering then! if you search it up on youtube, there are some really wacky episodes. sadly, we don't have anything this cool/messed up for kids these days.

I'm confused by attitudes like this. Some older people might like older and newer stuff, some older people might like one or the other, some younger people might like both or one over the other.--exactly, everybody has different tastes and lots of people have wide ranges of music that they like. going by her judgement of joe--and her relative time line--i could just assume that since she's 11 and living in the 80's-90's, she should be into the new kids on the block or tiffany, etc--"teeny-bopper" music of the day. or that her favourite show would be something like 'saved by the bell', but it's more likely to be 'i love lucy', because ann is obsessed with lucille ball. these girls should never make assumptions about others.

Just be sure to keep it to yourself if you visit him. I have the idea everybody would start jumping up and down wanting to go with her if she mentioned the idea in front of her family.--seriously, that's exactly what they would do. i'd just keep it to myself and go see him, keep the guy company if he was up for it. she'd probably appreciate him more as well, if she had more to go on than just her dad's bullshit and insensitivity/resentment over the fact that he's "changed."

Sounds bad but it's the truth.--and that's the upsetting part, really.

This might be Mallory's one chance. Get on camera and ask for a glittery sweatshirt!--seriously!

LOL! I gotta admit I don't think I've seen any of the variety shows before but I can only imagine how corny they must be! They must've really offered Robert Reed some serious money (for back in that day) to go back and do other Brady Bunch stuff. I think I remember reading how he was very difficult when it concerns some of the more silly episodes of The Brady Bunch.--lol in the first episode of the variety show there's a whole skit about how ill-equipped poor robert reed/mike brady is for this kind of stuff. bobby is all for replacing him because he's "stinking up the act"!

https:// youtu.be /rhObKKvzijc

there's a bunch of episodes on youtube, but this is the first. you have to check this out, it's mind blowing! susan olsen had a huge part in writing a whole book about the variety hour called 'love to love you brady's' that i've been reading. it's pretty crazy.

But would that same embarrassment come out if the cameras weren't there? The Pikes have done a lot of shit I'd be embarrassed about whether we were out in public or not.--same here! and i wonder too, if the same embarrassment would've come out of it if the cameras weren't there…i think of i were mallory i would've been embarrassed by them a huge deal of the time. and preteens and young adults tend to go through phases where their families embarrass the hell out of them in general, let alone a family like the pikes. it would make sense if she was embarrassed by them a lot of the time. but i can't remember her ever mentioning it.

What's so special about this book that it's that expensive? Or is it just something automatic? Last year a book about Falco came out and I was so damn excited that I would actually be able to read it since it's in English. They had a paperback version and a hardcover version...the price they wanted for the hardcover was just jawdropping. I just couldn't understand how a brand new book could be so expensive. Yeah, I think the people that price this stuff must be smoking something too. Why pay more for a used book than a new book?--holy shit, that book is expensive! and the only reasons i can see charging more for a used book is if it's been signed or is a first edition, but not if it's still pretty much brand new--as in, it came out fairly recently. or if it was limited edition and not many copies were printed. i think some people are just out to make a chunk of money and don't care if they're being seriously fucking irrational about pricing. i've seen the same attitude on bay. it's outrageous what some people charge!

She's learning! :)--damn right, it's about time! lol.

The viewers that watch this must be wondering if all they do is pour sugar down their throats and snort it as well.--for real! or if they get hyped up with june shannon's mountain dew and red bull concoction!
