I was so restless the other day and today was no better. I kept feeling like I should be being productive but nothing seemed enjoyable. I wanted to sew but just ended up spooling all my embroidery thread. I wanted to draw but did nothing. Finally I realised what I really wanted to do. I wanted to snark. So, here we are. And man, I gotta do

They tell Mal that they felt like Mal actually knew them and what they liked and that's just sad.--Another positive for Mallory is she chose things the girls were interested in versus giving them things that Mallory likes.
I have to wonder, do the girls ever make wish lists? I always showed my mum exactly what I wanted for my birthday/Christmas.--Good question. Surely it could be a case of "Tell me a few things you want and some of the other stuff will be total surprises that you really won't know about."
Do you think Linda even knows the twins favourite colours? Or animal? Probably not.--I sincerely doubt it.
Besides, this is probably one of the few times an intervention was actually needed---Agreed. I like Mallory for thinking what she did but she's absolutely right to intervene this time.
She also says picking out the same things is 'easy' and how fucking lazy can you get?---huh? No back to school shopping with the girls with you? I want this, this, this and this, and the other girl wants that, that, that, and that? Why bother having kids if you're looking for everything easy to do instead?
And she says that because she liked how they looked, they must've too.--*screams*
I would think that an important shopping trip like that would be something their mother would want to be involved with.--Ordinarily I'd agree but Linda's batshit enough to probably still go the "easy" route even after the girls voiced their thoughts.
You expected to just say 'I'm such a baby!' and they'd be like 'Well, we'd better let you pierce your ears!'--Mallory, your parents on par with Linda up there. You could take your hints and clues and wrap them up on a brick and throw it at your parents and I still don't think they'd get it. You have to be direct.
'Well, now we know why you were sucking up.'--What'd she do that was any different? I bet this is Mallory's usual schedule.
And do they never get her hair cut?--I would hope she went and got it trimmed or at least she did it herself?
They give her all the responsibility of raising her siblings but she can't say how she wants her hair cut or pick out her own clothes?!--It's definitely out there. I'm not even talking about Mallory's complaints about herself but you'd think the parents would realize she's putting more care into how she looks. Let her cut her hair how she wants, straighten it if she wants, wear a little bit of makeup, wear the clothes she wants within reason, etc.
Man, I wish I could afford a whole mountain of cocaine to just ski around on.--LOL! Classic line!
Suddenly, Dawn breaks down and says she wants her ears pierced too!--*rolls eyes*
Love the snark! :)

Mal has her dumb moments (#1 Fan...), but, overall, she's not a bad character. Funny how the characters bad authors want us to not like we usually like the best, and we usually hate the ones we're meant to like.

Kristy's the individual here. She's the one who'll never want piercings, unless they're naval or eyebrow.

When I was little, I got sick of my calf length hair and asked my mom for a haircut. Even though I knew she loved my long hair, I knew I could go to her with this request. She wasn't happy about it, but she let me. And I was younger than Mal at the time. So, really it just goes to show that the Pikes don't have as good as a relationship with their kids as they think. If you're kid can't go to you for a haircut at age 11, then you're doing it wrong. Also, Mal is a total pair of baby pants for just moping around like an idiot.
