First off, I want to thank you all for the lovely well wishes! You guys are the best! Things here are going okay though I did have to cancel a doctor appointment so I've been sweating over getting my meds in time. I needed to distract myself some so, I had to snark. It's really weird reading about a blizzard when it's in the 70s. And that there's a

So, she was wearing gloves but somehow Stacey noticed she wasn't wearing her wedding ring anymore.
Some divorced people keep them on a while and Stacey could have noticed the lack of ring earlier.
Maureen blinks the headlights and Stacey starts panicking that he could be a murderer.
Dammit, Stacey. Take your chances. Staying in the car overnight is guaranteed death in a blizzard. That's why Maureen is smart enough to take this chance, though she's still plenty stupid.

The next day, Mme Noelle announces that the coffee shop across the street invited the whole school over for free breakfast. I find that a little hard to believe.
This is believable since the pastries would be the day-old stuff that the shop wouldn't sell. Since the town is shut down, no new deliveries. But still, makes me wonder how the show knew.... And what happened to the school's big ol' kitchen?

Over or under 40? 30?
Yeah, the old corded phones weren't power. They plugged into the jack, but no power source unless they were cordless. Even today, it's a good idea to keep a corded phone in your home in case of emergency since you can still plug it in and call 911, even without service, even when the power is out. Since they're hard wire, you don't have the problem of bad weather knocking out cell service, which happens if the weather is too bad that it interrupts the digital signals.
Your profile says Arizona. I thought parts of Arizona got snow. I love blizzards, and am pissed we've been screwed out of a real winter this year. If you ever get the chance to see snow, you should take it. It's fun stuff, and does taste good!
