My second attempt...

Poor Mallory - aka How Many Times Can Mal Use The Word ‘Dibble?’

First of all, the title. How come in the UK publication, it became ‘Poor Mallory!’ with an exclamation mark? It changes the context a little. Also, with the title, we can either take it ‘Poor Mallory is having a hard time’ or ‘Mallory is broke.’ Moving on to the cover…

First of all, the USA cover. Mallory is reclining by a pool, so it must be a daydream. She looks like a 25 year old 80s girl and her hair looks like she had an incident with an electric socket. Sexah. Why is there a Christmas tree there?

Now the UK cover. Awful glasses, but she looks much cuter. Her hair is chestnut coloured here, as opposed to orange. She’s looking pretty miserable.

Chapter 1

Mallory and Jessi are singing songs about itching in their underwear. Anyone else think that these two have a weird relationship? And Mallory wonders why she’s treated like a baby? We then have a long drawn out goodbye. Boooring.

Mallory walks home singing to herself about turning dogs into sausages. And she wonders why people pick on her? See the men with butterfly nets, Mal? They just want to play with you…She gets home and her mom is lying down as she is worried about Mal’s dad losing his job. We then get a brief into to the Pike Family, aka the Family Who Have Never Heard of Condom’s.  Mal wants to ring Jessi and decides it’s ok, although Jessi is babysitting as it is an emergency.

Dibble count: 0.

Chapter 2

Mal rings Jessi as they are BFF.

Jessi is black, pretty with long, long legs. Oh Mal, baby! Mal is white and a geek and uses the word ‘Dibble’ a lot. Kristy formed the BSC. MA is sensitive. Claudia is gorgeous and dibble this and dibble that, Stacey is pretty. Dawn is gorgeous. Mal creams herself at night over the BSC members.

Dibble count: 8. Used mostly in relation to Claudia.
