And away we go again- this time LS #21-Karen’s New Teacher. I decided on this one next because Hatey is mentioned in Karen’s Wedding and the other current Snark Karen’s Field Trip… So let us find out where this name comes from and determine is it justified…

This sounds like Ms. Coleman is using her minor surgery to get away from Karen for a month - props to her. Huh, I have grey hair and I'm not yet twenty.

I hope your surgery goes well.

Kids have a tendency to think their teachers are the best or the worse without connecting them to the outside world. I had a class who thought I was the living end because I let them write about Star Wars as long as it actually fit the lesson criteria (Descriptive paragraphs? Sure, you can write about Star Wars, as long as I can imagine myself on Hoth from your words). This wasn't because I was The Best Teacher ever. I just knew how to get them to do what I wanted. XD

The portrayal of schools in books and movies drives me up the wall. No, that wouldn't be allowed. Yes, that would be cause for getting in to trouble. No, kids do not spend all day in the halls! On the rare occasion that I find a book that is SANE in regards to school life, it usually turns out that the author spent some time teaching. Heh.

Best wishes on your surgery!

First and most importantly: don't hassle the Hoff, Karen!

Second, hope the surgery goes well!

Do teachers in real life actually tell kids what colour to colour each part of a picture except in, like, language classes where you're learning the words for the colours?

As an ex-English teacher who had a fuckload of classes that I saw around once a month each, putting them in alphabetical order doesn't even help because you've still got to count from the beginning or end to know who's who. Either use a seating chart or have them make nametags.

Mrs H wants the class to raise their hand before speaking.

Yeah, because this is so horribly unreasonable. Karen is such a spoiled little shit.

So having grey hair and wearing grey makes you mean? Does this mean that Nannie has that blue black color that old ladies like to do their hair? And I don't think it's that unreasonable to draw or read before class. *shrug*

Personally, I liked Miss Hoffman, but one of my favorite teachers was a lot like her, so yeah. XD

no, Nannie probably has lavender hair because she's "wacky". don't forget, this is a grandmother that wears pants and goes bowling.

LOL! I don't think I've ever seen my grandmother in anything but pants! But she's got great hair and sort of looks like Yoda when she first gets up in the morning. What would AMM think of THAT? XD
