I am sooooo sorry I didn't get this to you all sooner. I was SO super-busy. Doing superhero things, and all that. But here it is, the exciting conclusion of Xena Star Ultranova's snark of Karen's Toothache!!!

I feel the need to add that shortly before the time of this snark, I found out that the most likely reason my right bicuspid hurts whenever I ( Read more... )

Well, at least she didn't walk around wearing faux African print caftans and speaking in a Jamacian accent. >.< Great snark and I can't wait to see which three books you do next! ;)

Seriously, though, I'm sorry about the tooth. :( Brush, brush, brush! And don't use whiteners! They can wear enamel away, so if you're already having those problems it's best not to make them worse. *huggles* I hate the dentist too so I hope you don't have to go!

"Well, at least she didn't walk around wearing faux African print caftans and speaking in a Jamacian accent"

That was a hilarious image. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Karen dressed up like that just for the super offensive lulz.

I'm not a dentist, but I've been to my fair share of them. I don't see why you'd need the tooth removed. You should be able to get a root canal and crown. I've had that done on one of my molars, which actually broke off one day when I bit into a chip because it had decayed inside. I have major dentist fear, so I finally looked into sedation dentistry, and IT WORKS. It's more expensive than traditional dental work, but for me the peace of mind from not having to suffer through fear and anxiety is well worth the extra cost. You might want to look into it.

If the spot is just getting weak, you can get ProEnamel toothpaste and brush with that for a few weeks. You can't use it all the time though, or it stops working.

I've had luck with that and drinking tons of water.

My old dentist's office looked like a spa and had wine in the waiting room. Which I thought was a little odd but whatever. Joey also specialized in people who have dental fears and special needs kids/adults so I was constantly referring people to him. He's so awesome. I miss him. I gotta find a new one now that I moved out of state.

I was also going to suggest using the ProNamel toothpaste.

Seriously? It stops working? that's good to know because I've been using it for probably 5 weeks now so I'll have to switch over to something else....like how often is too often to use it? Maybe every 3 days you brush with it and the rest of the time with something else? Don't want to hijack the thread but I'm seriously curious now....

I don't know now! I remember my super awesome dentist saying that you have to switch it out much like Sensodyne. I would read the box and see?

OK, so I went on to their website and it says you can use it twice a day, every day for all of eternity. I was wrong!

Karen's dentist sounds awesome and I'm fucking jealous. Though I feel bad for his technician, having to wear a fucking space suit.

Now I kind of want to reread Karen's worst moments and see how many of them take place at the Big House.
