So, I survived my first week of Neuro.  It's been pretty interesting/scary because I have almost no idea of what I'm doing.  I wish we had a better Neuro course than what we had because I just get downright owned by Dr. Thompson's questions.  And those are the softball, everyone should get these questions.  At least I'm getting some of them right so hopefully he doesn't think I'm a complete fucktard.  I was the only student on last week, but I should be joined by another this week, so hopefully that will take some pressure off me, maybe?  Seriously though, I have no clue what I'm doing, I just sort of stand there and take the "be seen and not heard" stance during rounds.  I fetch charts pretty well, and I am a pretty good rounds driver.  Once I get better at judging the different aspects of the neuro exam, I think it'll go more smoothly.

Other than that, I went to the Angels game v the Royals on Tuesday and Vlad hit a grand slam, which was AMAZING.  But we ended up splitting the series with the Royals, so that was a disappointment.  I also watched the Ducks game on TV, and was happy to see them wrap up the series against Vancouver--Stanley Cup is ours this year, mark my words.

Saw Spiderman 3 yesterday, I must say I enjoyed the 2nd installment so much more.  I really hate the way Spiderman basks in his own glory. No other "superhero" does that: you don't see Batman attending his own parades or pep rallies.  Superman does not merchandise himself and have balloons and costumes in his likeness in the movies.  The Stan Lee cameo was totally cheesy too, like if you're going to have him in the movie, have him be a hot dog vendor or someone who courts Aunt May, but his line in Times Square, "Looks like one person really can make a difference..." was totally LAME.  Capitalized.

They really make James Franco look a lot taller than his 5'4 frame though.   I give the movie, an 'eh' rating.  I'm more looking forward to Pirates (even though by most accounts Pirates 2 was a bust).  I love me some Johnny Depp.  And I'm very happy Chow Yun Fat will be in it.

Lastly, I also got my board score back this past week, and I passed! So that's a huge load off, don't have to worry about taking that test ever again.
