So, on my way home today, I got a speeding ticket. And I really don't think I was speeding. I may have been going 69-70 in a 65 zone, but the cop said I was going 79. Now, it's still pretty nasty weather out, and I'm from California and am already frightened out of my mind at the prospect of driving in this kind of slick weather, so I was being pretty cautious, or at least I thought I was.

Now, I pull over on the highway and roll down my window. He walks up to the car and before I can even ask him what I was doing, he says, "You were going 79 in a 65 zone."

And I was seriously shocked, I was like, are you serious? So, he takes my license after asking me if I reside in California, and I'm still like thinking, I'm pretty sure I was not going that fast at all. There were a bunch of cars around me. And I saw him on the side of the road in front of me before he pulled me over.

So he comes back with the ticket, not letting me really make any sort of defense, and I ask to see his radar gun. He brings it back and it says 79 on it, but how the hell is that supposed to tell if it was my car or someone else's? So I ask him, "Are you sure that was me?" And he looks at me like, what are you retarded, and says he was positive. Which I can hardly believe since this was right before rush hour and there were a bunch of cars on the road.

And that's where I am now. It's one of those send out tickets, they send you the amount and the court date through the mail, but I don't really know what I'm going to do as of now. I have gotten a speeding ticket before and I just paid the attorney to have it changed to a non-moving violation so that it wasn't on my record and I don't know if I should have that done again or what. Like how can anyone be so sure that it is a specific car when there are a whole lot of them whizzing by on the highway?

Any suggestions Missouri people?
